I call everyone “dude.”

I don’t really care when people call me “darling” but “sweetheart” is always creepy for some reason. It’s also really weird when people younger than I am call me “hun” or “hunny.” Baristas at Starbucks who are like half my mother’s age have called her “sweetie” or “hun” and that’s always weird to me also.

darling and sweetheart are both weird. My mom's family uses those a lot and its only moderately less weird being said by someone who is nominally my grandmother

I think it's okay when girls call guys darling and sweetheart, it's pretty common and it's been happening to me a lot. When it's reversed it's definitely some levels of misogony behind it, it's extremly weird but it's life.

Lol thats real fucked up when girls can call guys something, but when guys do it it's immediately sexist
