Ignore Igor's friendzone comment- that was made up by guys who became "friends" with an ulterior motive and thus were never really the girl's "friend", since they just wanted something romantic out of it. Every serious girlfriend I've had, up to and including my wife, have been a friend first. (I've hooked up with chicks that weren't a friend, but I also wasn't looking for a serious relationship). If you are friends but they don't have romantic feelings, that's just how it is. If all you want if a romantic relationship with them, you aren't really being their friend first.

As for gay guys coming up, be flattered. Even with feminism, guys tend to be more aggressive than women in terms of being asked out. And as Louis CK said, the number one killer of women is men, so it's amazing women ever go out with us in the first place. So go ahead and make a move if you are interested. If dudes find you attractive, odds are there are women who do too.

It's not aggressive in the bad sense; more of a "don't be afraid to ask them out" because they won't necessarily make the first move.

It's fine, but make sure you're serious before getting too.close to.the kids.

Also do lots of talking before it gets too serious. Child rearing philosophies, responsibilities, both financial and emotional. All of these things will come into play.

It's ok to be selfish here before it goes too far and you impact the life of a child.

The way I look at dating in general is to always be yourself because if the end goal is to find someone you eventually want to end up with, then obviously you want that person to be someone you can be 100% yourself around, so it's best to start by being your genuine self with them from day one.

It sounds really obvious, but so many people overthink first dates without keeping this very basic concept in mind.

It'll get serious really fast. You're dating her and her kids at some point, so she's going to make sure you aren't going to screw her over, and hurt her kids in the process.

I had four kids and married a gal with none. It seems odd, but you discuss pretty fast (3rd or 4th serious discussion?) if she has any interest in kids, or dating/marrying someone with kids.

2nd baby almost home, arrives june/july, and again it's a girl!

gf got contractions, regularly but not that intense yet, says it's okay - she also says the baby could come today/tonight or in a week at last. some stuff on the inside came loose (no deatails needed, Igor wouldn't understand), but that's natural and simply a sign of the baby saying "YO I'M ON MY WAY NOW" - but that time window is just, wtf.
I can't be in red-alert mode a full week?! and last night, because I ain't got no other problems, I lost my "important" silverfilling tooth-replacement. I can't be in that-pain-is-killing-me mode a full week neither?! oh well...
