The Expendables 3
Hm, yeah. Old guys (and some new guys and *GASP* a woman) and explosions. I didn't see the second one, but I get the feeling that I could just change the file name on this one to Expendables 2, watch it again, and be covered. Something tells me the same will go for the inevitable Expendables 4. Somehow it felt like the longest movie ever, but I did enjoy seeing Frasier get a part.

Child of God
A friend texted me and told me to watch this; I'd never heard of it. Probably not the most fucked up movie I've ever seen, but it ranks in the top 15. It's about a real bastard that sort of floats around the fringes of this small Tennessee town living by his own rules. Eventually devolves into a near feral lunatic that does some questionable stuff, to say the least. Based on a Cormac McCarthy book apparently.

Watched Quarantine, but on the laptop with headphones while dh and ds were in the room. After seeing me jump the third time my husband says, "what are you watching!?" And my son tells him, "probably something Niney told her to watch." lol
I really liked the movie but after I turned the lights out to go to bed, I might have ran up the stairs. :$ | A lesson without pain is meaningless. That's because no one can gain without sacrificing something. But by enduring that pain and overcoming it, he shall obtain a powerful, unmatched heart. A fullmetal heart. |

V/H/S/2
I tried to watch this once before with my friend sometime last year, after I made him watch the first one. Neither of us really got into the first story about the eye implant so we abandoned it. I still didn't really care about that story this time around (cool idea but the dead people didn't look 2spooky at all) but I loved the rest of them. The GoPro zombie story was pretty fun, but the Indonesian cult story was probably my favorite one out of them all. Though the alien abduction one at the end made me want a new full length alien movie. When was the last time a good one was made? The spindly abduction kind, not the H.R. Giger kind.

My roommate, her girlfriend, and I have The Lady Vanishes on, but they fell asleep before the lady vanished and I feel like I should stop the movie since they've never seen it.
Update: I paused it and brought Netflix back to its menu, then highlighted the "Start from beginning" button because trying to rewind it with the remote was not working. They fell asleep like half an hour in, but whatever. Even the train whistles weren't waking them up, but I didn't want them waking up during the climax or something after missing everything.

^ Good movie, vintage Hitchcock.
I watched Brotherhood of the Wolf. I was expecting something a lot dumber because I knew it was an actiony monster movie, but I was pleasantly surprised at how it felt just like any other well-made historical fiction movie. This one just happens to have a giant murderous wolf in it. The plot was intriguing and kept me interested throughout the movie. If it were me, it would have more wolf carnage in it, but then again I don't think the horror was the main focus here. | Nintendo Network ID: EctoCooler47 |

World War Z
Well, the book was good. I was attentive during the beginning of the movie and then again towards the end inside of the plane and then the lab, but the middle stretch lost my interest like 10 different times. I guess it wasn't terrible but I just wasn't that into it.

I tried out to be an extra in World War Z. I actually got called back too, but I had to be in school at the time so I couldn't do it. You tell me: would it have tarnished my good name to be in that movie? | Nintendo Network ID: EctoCooler47 |

I would have immediately done an about-face and watched it again and loved it if you were in there as an extra. BUT - in the long run it may have damaged your extra career depending on whether you were crazy person stuck in traffic or crazy person stuck in airplane.

Pain & Gain
Thought it was p. funny. I like pretty much anything the Rock is in. There needs to be more idiot heist/kidnapping movies.

I kind of almost half-enjoyed Doom just because of The Rock. I hope that doesn't make any of you think less of me. | Nintendo Network ID: EctoCooler47 |
