My players are gonna be fighting in an arena in the future and I wanted something more than just a cobblestone mat. I think they're gonna be fighting there three times across three days so since it'll be a repeat location I wanted to make it a big boi

Had one of these packaging cardboard pieces and thought it was the perfect size and shape. Progress pics:

A few things didn't turn out the way I pictured but I'm pretty happy with it, should be fun for them when the time comes to bring it out. Easily the largest thing I've made yet but it was worth it since I'll make it into a p important set piece and use it a few times

A nice easy one. Statues

Went to a wedding and each table number card holder thing was a golden animal for..some reason! Snagged a few and made statues out of them

They would've been fine as they were but I wanted to try out a greenish patina effect to make them look like weathered statues. Ez pz. Don't have a before-pic but the difference was pretty noticeable

Figured I'd either just use them as large statues or for the ole classic statues coming alive bit

This was an easier one but p satisfying because I used a few things that have just been sitting around in my pile for ages

Had these circular discs from a party necklace, palm tree tops from a cake topper, and that thin plastic sushi grass. Combined them to make little plants for some scatter terrain

Simple and easy but nice to combine some junk and use them up

Made some little junkyard scrap metal bots out of wire and beads. Quick and dirty. Going for a Sid's nightmare toys kinda vibe

and repainted it

Fun one! Tricky to repaint that kinda plastic but it got there eventually. Mushrooms are always fun to make even tho the brown ones ended up looking like turds

This one's my favorite in awhile, town notice board. I've been using it as a center piece for side story games for three of my players since the fourth is often busy

Made out of coffee stir sticks

LAST UP! Rope bridge. Hardest one in awhile for sure, there's some things I wish I did differently. Keeping it playable (aka can hold the weight of minis in the middle) while also making sure it'll droop in the middle across a chasm or river was the tough part. V happy with it though

Roads! Been wanting to come up with a way to make them for awhile. Settled on dirt roads with no grass flocking on the side to keep it straightforward. I used the remnants of a rug pad, smeared them with a paint/glue/sand/spackle mixture, added more sand and rocks and painted them up. Nice and flexible

Also I vow to make four (new) monsters out of these Monsters Inc toys. Beholder Mike Wazowski is certainly one of them. Tbd
