Honestly, we are saying the same thing for the most part. You just keep selling it as "it's horror, and that's that" I'm saying it's more than that, so it doesn't fit in just that category.

It's got horror in it, but it isn't a just a horror movie.

Jaws & Alien are marketed as monster horror.

Jurassic Park is marketed as more of an adventure film where things go wrong. I think the appeal of Jurassic Park is the park concept as a whole whereas Jaws and Alien focus on surviving a specific “force”

I mean, it's harder to argue against Deep Blue Sea being horror than Jaws, because Deep Blue Sea is tagged as horror in Wikipedia, imdb, etc. where Jaws is not.
