Meh. 80's music wasn't just hair bands. It's when all the 90's stuff you probably love was being born and the last hurrah of some great 70's carryover groups Aerosmith, ACDC, Rush, etc... It was the rebirth of punk rock. They had hair bands, too. Even some of those had great musicians.
