I like Chrissy and Mike! | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

That loved ones challenge ... I thought they were racing, or doing a physical challenge, so I was watching as each loved one came out.
"They look fit"
"Oh hell no"
Chrissy's husband came out, "oh they should do well".
And then they started drawing rocks.
wat? | |

lol I can sorta see why they wouldn’t wanna do anything too physical anymore with all the out of shape parents
BUT they should at least do the one from Pearl Islands with the plank walking and trivia, that was fun. Probably the best one?

Yeah, it wasn't fair in most cases. You'd have the guy and his brother going head to head with someone and their elderly parent.
Wasn't there a season where they were tethered to their loved one and running an obstacle course? That was brutal for some. Getting dragged around, hitting stuff, falling off ...

I would pick my distant athletic cousin who I don’t talk to as my loved one over my overweight and out of shape dad

Jeff's defense is the loved one portion took so long didn't want to run a long challenge too.
While a fair point, I think an extra 2 -3 minutes on an exciting challenge is worth it. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

More quick intense challenges and less time hog balance challenges

But they could’ve easily done something just as quick and simple that wasn’t total luck. Even you and your partner putting together a complicated puzzle would be more exciting

But this is like saying on Survivor they should make sure the challenges are fair for everyone. Be strategic in who you pick as your loved one, I guess? Or have them be prepared to not get demolished.
They had the one in many seasons where the Survivors do the running to the water and then toss the water to their loved one. Some people sucked at it (Abi's mom), but this was entertaining enough and pretty balanced for everyone in my opinion
