I don't really get the logic behind Alsark being targeted because of the sole fact he''s the new guy. Wouldn't ANYONE be replaced if they failed to show up here? I guess I don't know the protocol since this is my first game here but that kinda seems like common sense.
I find it weird that there are so many people targeting the active contributors of the thread. There are tons of people who have barely posted at all either day and wouldn't that be how the mafia would be approaching things right now?
While Cake/Walk are all getting busy targeting eachother people who have barely shown up like Wikey, Teens and colby etc
|
This. I commented if Alsark got attacked, the only ones who know him that he is "good" is me and teebs. But I also can see a curious town targeting him because the whole replacement thing.

I assumed that meant targeted for a lynch, but Beaver can clarify.
As for today's lynch, I'm still bothered by Curtis. Is there any chance he's been silenced in such a way that he can only post monosyllabically? I would think even if so, he wouldn't waste it on something like "hm" after being prodded, right? It's the same case being made against Wikey. Given Curtis has posted more recently,

With what we have to go on right now, I feel most comfortable lynching Cuhraig today. A Cuhraig lynch would address any concerns about someone like Alsark having some crazy role, while lynching a lurker. I'd like to think Alsark and Cuhraig were just replaced due to good hosting, however it is kind of odd that Vic or Vernon have not been replaced while Drr and Zersch were. I guess it's possible that Zersch and Drr requested to be replaced while Vic and Vernon did not?
Also, Vic has been active on other boards so that's something to take into account.
Moose, I think whatever intel you have on Alsark should probably be expressed. I agree with what a few other people have said about you now having somewhat of a target on your back for that, so at this point it's best to express what you have to say on the matter.
##lynch Cuhraig for now |
i really don't see the logic in spreading the votes even further than they already are, it just makes it easier for scum to push a last second wagon. idk how many times i have to say this tho - BEING REPLACED DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING. rose hadn't been on the board in a week, someone mentioned the same for zersch. vic and vernon have been on more recently.
i'm really side-eyeing the fact that badger and colby both felt the need to try and start new wagons on other quiet/inactive people

maybe Wikey will show up again with all the votes he's got on him so far.
I don't know why people are still talking about the replacements being targets for that reason. I thought we've established it as keeping the game active. It's kind of a shame that one of the replacements is just as inactive.
Cake said she was blocked? If true, that at least clears her of having anything to do with any of the deaths last night. But in no way would it prove her alignment. Even with Town Roleblocker dead. Her behaviour is weird though.
I'm fine with lynching Vernon or Wikey. Of the quieter people who may be laying back, I have some suspicion on Sami, who felt the need to not so subtley hint at being Town on Day 1. That's really it. Maybe it's a silly reason.
I do agree that scum was probably mostly hanging back watching the action since the trains were on me and Tony, and they would have had to do nothing. The more I talk, people seem to be thinking I'm spinning some giant web of deceit. It's like my curse in these games.
So I'm interesting in hearing from a lot more people today. Less than 3 hours to go, hopefully they'll show up.

So why sign up?
My general feeling is that we have two types of inactives that we're discussing - completely silent inactives and those who've piped up once or twice to say little to nothing of relevance. Vernon and Vic are examples of the former, and Wikey and Curtis are examples of the latter. With players like Vernon having said nothing, a lynch on them seems like a shot in the dark, whereas putting in the bare minimum reads a little scummier to me. I agree having the votes spread around is dangerous, but I'm reluctant to move to someone like Vernon. Part of my reluctance is from having seen two people replaced already, and knowing that in BYOR everyone should have some sort of role. Is that logic flawed?

That's how Wikey always is too in the beginning. Curtis isn't always like this but he usually gets a pass. Did he make any posts this round over 1 word ?
