| You pretty much did the opposite of what I did. lol. With the Kate desk thing. I saved her in my playthrough, so When it go to that sequence there was nothing but "I WANT TO DIE" written all over the desk and floor. it was pretty haunting. not to mention the birds splattering blood on the windows and then seeing them all over the school campus. |

| If you sacrifice Chloe, you get a kiss on the lips and a broken heart. I REALLY didn't want her to die, but then I kinda realized that it's not really up to what I want if it means everything ends up being fixed and there's no major tornado. i ended up using my second save slot to see what happens if I sacrifice Arcadia Bay, and I didn't really like it. Chloe and Max where together, but the cost of that was too great for me to be okay with. |
I wanna do a second playthough of this now that it's over and make different decisions than my first time. Also to get that sweet 100% achievements.

| really annoyed that there wasn't a third/fourth/fifth option. Like I get what it was trying to do metaphorically or whatever, but I feel like it should've been possible to go back to the beginning and just plain warn the fucking town to evacuate, since everything looked clear after the storm hit. Or go back and keep the butterfly out of the bathroom, stop people sooner (especially if Max can fucking text David before the bathroom trip and change so much shit), etc... |

What would have happened if Nathan saw Max in the bathroom? Would he have made her leave or would he go somewhere else? If Max left the bathroom, would she have seen Chloe? Would she warn her?
It's just a big WHAT IF situation. |

| And that's why I'm mad we never got to explore that. I want more episodes so I can go back and find out, or find out why the universe decided Chloe has to die, or why Chloe's life equals the whole town, or what Sean Prescott's problem is and if we could ever have done something for Nathan, or gone back and saved Rachel, etc. And like I get that Max has rewind limits, but there's so much that could be explored. Like what if the storm passing gave her powers a reset? Or what would happen if she sacrificed herself for Chloe? |

Unfortunately I had to play this episode in front of an impatient audience waiting for me to finish so they could watch Netflix. So I missed a ton of side things and didn't bother rewinding much to save people during the storm sequence. Mr. C also now thinks it's very funny to tell me to go to the dark room. Hmm. I probably should have waited but the hype was way too huge for me to. My experience was RUINED!
I also agree with Boc that the beginning of the episode was really off to me. I felt like Jefferson's dialogue was really, really awful.
That said, this was pretty amazing and toyed with my mind exactly how I thought it would. The game kept giving you HOPE that every time you rewound with the pictures that somehow, someway everything would be perfect. But you still had that lingering feeling that something was going to fuck it all up. And of course, you did. The nightmare scene was a perfect way to make me feel like total shit. I do wonder how different that was for everyone based off choices you made and times you rewound. Max talking to herself in the diner and berating her for constantly rewinding to make friends was so, so true. And I felt instantly guilty because I knew that doing minor things such as saving the blue jay or wanting to talk about Taylor's mom was really unnecessary and pushing it. But I did it anyway. And god do I feel like a dick.
Ultimately.... I sacrificed Chloe. If I was playing this alone, I would have probably stared at the screen for about 10 minutes just like when Chloe originally asked me to kill her during the paralyzed scene. I just couldn't be responsible for killing all of those people and destroying an entire town, all because of what we did. I instantly thought of the ending of the Butterfly Effect where Kutcher basically just rewinds back to when he was a little kid and told the girl he did everything for to fuck off so he'll never see her again afterwards.
The ending was just straight up fucking sad. God damn.
My minor choices:
- David got a scar. Didn't know this was preventable and to be honest, I really don't care!
- David killed Jefferson. I had to hold back tears when I told him the truth about Chloe and seeing his reaction. I didn't feel much when he killed Jefferson, honestly. I didn't want to lie about Chloe being "safe" as I felt it would have had worse consequences.
- Saved the trucker.
- Saved Evan.
- Did not save Alyssa. I tried to help her but couldn't really figure out how to and couldn't be bothered anyway.
- Did not save the fisherman. I thought this was scripted, honestly. Didn't even notice him in there and Max's nonchalant "oh no" when he died just made me shrug my shoulders and move on.
- Changed Joyce's mind about David.
- Did not change Frank's mind because FRANK'S DEAD! Oops. :(
- I... kissed Warren. Hey, whatever man. We were leaving this timeline very shortly and the kid got us the picture we needed to do it, so I threw him a bone okay?
Overall, amazing stuff. I'm still really fucking sad over the game and it really sucks that there was no way to get a straight up happy ending (I don't think? Didn't replay to sacrifice Arcadia Bay but I can't imagine destroying a town and killing many people - including Chloe's family - would be, uh... good?). I kind of wish people who didn't rewind very much except for save Chloe segments would have been rewarded in some way. But alas, can't complain because I definitely do not fall into that category. |

I had trouble with that too, I know she needed a plank to walk across, so I was walking around for like five minutes asking "Where's a god damn plank?" Turns out its right next to Max when she walks up that wooden ramp, just off to the left. I felt so dumb that it was so obvious. |
