Not even a moonboy mention :(

We could've at least had Lancel. At least we saw that stuff happen!

Lancel is the rightful king of the Seven Kingdoms. He needs to return

i really liked it, easily the best finale. it's had the season 4 problem of being DISJOINTED but most every scene was really strong so it worked for me. In particular the deaths of the Hound and Tywin, which I know really rankled you guys (:

My issue with the Hound is more that I don't know why they didn't just go for the book death. But that would have kept a lot of great moments from coming out, like his fight with Brienne, his conversations with Arya, etc. I guess I'm just wondering if the fun of that dynamic was really worth it, even though it made his death a lot more impactful. That scene was such a bummer, with him doing his best to get her to kill him. IT HURT ME

The whole Tyrion segment was really good as well. I know I'm one of the few who liked Shae ( (: ) and I really liked how it was handled. I didn't get the sense that it was meant to be satisfactory for people who wanted her dead. Tyrion was horrified by it, and it was done out of self-defense rather than because of her betrayal. From what I understand the books do it totally differently.

Tywin's death was also really good. I liked how UNDIGNIFIED it was, that it didn't really give him time to say his piece. Tyrion didn't want that, and even though I loved the character, I don't think he could have gotten a better death. The JOAK would have been silly too in my stupid opinion (:

no i don't care about bran maybe something interesting will happen but it hasn't yet

Just watched Tywin's death again and I THINK I HATE IT!!

Not sure what else I would've wanted. Probably something to show off how great Charles Dance is a little bit more. If not during his actual death, then earlier in the episode or a few more Tywin scenes in the past few. His scene with Cersei helped but I want more! A final Tywin/Jamie scene at the very least. Or Tywin visiting Tyrion in the dungeon earlier in the episode maybe

Someone explain to me what happened with The Mountain... is he dead or is he about to come back alive as some freakishly overpowered villain?

No spoilers plz. I want theories or just don't speak at all for you book readers.

eh, I disagree. ULTIMATELY it was out of self-defense, but if that's all it was then he could've just turned around as soon as he heard it was her and not Tywin in the bed. I think him approaching the bed in the first place meant he wanted SOME kind of confrontation

yeah but I don't think he had any intention of killing her until she pulled out the knife, and even then he was obviously regretful. I think a JOAK after Tywin's death would have made it worse as well, because Tyrion isn't happy about any of this, and I don't think any of the viewers were supposed to be either. I really liked that neither of the kills were meant to be INDULGENT, but more a reflection of how low Tyrion's sunk.

They changed the Tyrion/Tywin quite significantly, but I think it was for the best.

Biggest changes from the book scene+

I don't think they could have done the scene like that. Show Tyrion and book Tyrion are not the same. It would seem out of character. And the Tysha stuff dominates the scene in the books, which would have been distracting and out of place in the show, given that the majority of viewers don't read the books, and Tysha has been mentioned, what, once? In season 1?

Only one thing about the episode pissed me off, which should go without saying, but anyway...

Huge Spoilers!+

This season marks the point where the show is going to become increasingly challenging to adapt.

Given that there will be more new characters and plot lines introduced in S5, and the difficulty this season seemed to have juggling the many storylines already, I am a bit nervous!

Plus, they are going to be delving even further into character arcs that have yet to happen on page.
