Just watched The Rise of the Planet of the Apes and The Grey
Both strong 7-8 / 10 star films! Recommend both. The Grey especially surprised me. Neeson is just awesome and you are on the edge of your seat every second. It might have been a bit unrealistic but that didnt bug me at all, which is weird! They said it was like -10°c to -20°c there in Alaska but their clothing didnt seem to reflect that. But who cares. It was a great film. The director did an awesome job in many of the scenes. Its hard to explain without spoiling, just watch it!
The Rise of the Planet of the Apes was also very good. I love John Lithgow. James Franco was also excellent along with all the cast. Pinto is hot. I really liked the apes and how it was all executed. Very realistic and just a very good film on all fronts

Rise of the Planet of the Apes was a huge surprise for me. I went into thinking it'd be lame but I really liked it.
I'll probably watch The Grey soon. Everyone that's seen it seems to love it

How's about I call all of you on Skype and then I'll stream my desktop via remote view or whatever it's called?! I'll play Carlito's Way - Henry's Cut. I will double Pacino's lines and make some noise in the back. Mumbling things, using a lighter very often and stuff.
Okay If you don't want to see the Henry's Cut we can just watch it without commentary. Your decision (: | "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."

True then I'd rather watch Carlito's way before his commentary!

Oh yeah Henry it sure does suck that you have a job
Who's That Knocking at My Door - This is one of the few Scorsese films I haven't seen (excluding docs obv) and it was his first. Really great start, very PROPULSIVE filmmaking. It's quite Godard-y a lot of the time, and has quite a few ~art~ bits that are alternately enthralling and cringeworthy. But all in all it's a really good movie, with a very strong story and performance by Keitel. And it's great seeing how much of his STYLE was already in play from the start.

a FE themed riff track for any movie would be great. I attempted to make a LOST commentary once, and I think Roos listened to it, but the file was too massive to do anything with. If I can avoid that I might do it with an actual movie.

it does my friend. i have less time to do what i actually want, just to live a false comfort of having money to spend it on things i don't rly need.
