Well Gollum is suppose to look like a person and people I understand because humans have a high expectation for faces and things that look like people and can be very picky about all of that to the point of absurdity (Tron Legacy anyone?)

But with a dragon I feel like it's easier to suspend disbelief.
I mean I can barely see it in the trailer so I can't be for sure but it's like... how can you fuck this up?
The Geico Gecko looks real enough for christsake.

Will there be a third movie? I remember reading there might be one that would "bridge" the gap between the Hobbit and LOTR, anyone seen any news on that?

These tv spots are getting me more and more excited

I love the quick shot at :08. The one of them all running as the camera lifts up and follows them. It's such a classic Peter/LOTR shot
