It’s April 26, 1848. Today is the first day of the rest of your lives as you all leave your pasts behind and set out for Willamette Valley, Oregon. You begin your journey today in Independence, Missouri, a trading post that serves as the starting off point of the Oregon Trail. You have acquired the necessities and are ready to hit the trail with your fellow emigrants in your wagon train.

Suddenly, as you begin to group, you feel a presence of a bad omen. This wagon train is made up of some...eccentric individuals, all from very different walks of life, from all over the Eastern United States, some places very unfamiliar to you. Some wagons definitely look nicer than others, but it isn’t that that makes you uncomfortable. It’s as if the world itself had a grim grip over this traveling party.

The group decides that three votes will happen every night. One to elect a leader. One to elect a look out at night. And one to expel someone from the trail forever, with hopes that maybe that bad omen will finally disappear.

That said, let’s gidee up! It’s time to get on the trail

It is now Day One.

You will be making three votes today. One will be for a wagon train leader, who will have to make a choice that could impact everyone in the game. To vote for the leader, type ##elect leader <name>

The next vote is for the lookout for the tail end of the wagon train. Being the lookout grants a certain power, however it is an all night responsibility. Thus, the lookout will not be able to perform their regular night action or opt to go hunting tonight. To vote for the lookout, type ##elect lookout <name>.

But there’s one more catch--either the wagon train leader or the lookout will be immune to kills the upcoming night phase, but which one will be randomized.

And finally, of course, you will all be voting for someone to ##lynch.
