Where would you rather travel to?
A. Go way back in time and meet your ancestors (Pre 1800's)
B. Go way into the future and meet your great grandchildren (Post 2200)

Future easily.
I already have an idea what pre-1800s life was like, but the future is completely unknown, so it's more exciting.
Plus they shat in holes in the ground back then. No thanks!

Past! Either would be cool but I think there would be something unsettling about meeting my decendants years after I am already dead. Meanwhile my ancestors were up to all kinds of bizarre hijinks to enjoy. | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

I chose future because its simply just curiosity. What do they look like? What is the future of life like? What do my children and grandchildren do? Many questions that would be interesting to know, but also going to the future could be harmful because based on what I know, I may do different things in the present which could meddle with the future.
The future is far too confusing...

Past. Future guys are much bigger catches than guys from the past. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

Going to the past. I'd be KING Henry within minutes | "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."

Past, I'd want to meet the great great grands that packed everything they valued into a trunk and sailed over. I often wonder what type of people they were to be able to do that when I look at their trunk. | A lesson without pain is meaningless. That's because no one can gain without sacrificing something. But by enduring that pain and overcoming it, he shall obtain a powerful, unmatched heart. A fullmetal heart. |

I don't know who my pre-1800 ancestors are! I'd go back in time to find out if I was kept safe from white people and imperialism and stuff though. (:
I wouldn't want an Octavia Butler's Kindred situation, even though that is a really good book and was 1800s rather than pre.
But I voted for going to the future. That's probably better.

Past because it wouldn't fuck up the timeline as badly. If I went to the future there would be no me in the intermittent years to create descendants. Back to the Future screwed the pooch on that one big time.

Better throw that in the trash!
Future purely for curiosity sakes. I'd love to see futuristic inventions.
