FLASHBACK
While the task force weighed their current case against the pointless killing of Mr. Kaplan, one of Liz's neighbors happened to see the attack outside of her apartment building. She picked up her phone and dialed 9-1-1.
"Hello, police? Yes, I think I just saw someone get shot outside my apartment building!" she said, to the detective on the other end of the line. "I couldn't see the shooter from my building, but I did see a dark-skinned man, about 6 feet tall, driving away from the scene with the shooter in his vehicle."
While this wasn't much to go on, the local police were able to track down some surveillance footage, got a good picture of Dembe, and started to run it through their online databases.
Off in another building discreetly hidden in the greater D.C. area, a warning message popped up onto the screen.
"Sir, you better come see this" said the technician. "I think we might have a lead on Reddington."
The man he was talking to was a high ranking member of the shadow organization, the Cabal. He quickly placed a call to one of his field teams, with the information, and the hunt was on. It didn't take long for them to track the car back to the safehouse where Dembe and some of Reddington's compatriots were laying low. A fierce shootout occurred, and when the smoke cleared, a bunch of extras were dead, along with one very important person...Dembe.

Reddington was irate. The betrayal of one of his closest colleagues, Mr. Kaplan, directly led to the death of his closest friend, and personal protector, Dembe. He would not allow this injustice to go unpunished. He placed a quick call to Liz and said he wanted to meet with the remaining members of the task force at once.
"Have you any further leads on finding General Shiro?" he asked Harold, obviously irratated.
"We are working a couple of leads, but not really" Harold replied.
"Fine, then you guys don't need me at the moment. I have some other business to attend to" Reddington replied, and off he went.
Harold looked up at the rest of the group, "ok, let's get to work".

It is now Day 4. With 6 players alive, it'll take 4 votes for a lynch/no lynch. The deadline is 4 PM CT on Friday (~24 hours from now)

Character: Dembe Zuma
Player: Penner
Role: Protective JOAT (SK Aligned) - Sole job is to protect Raymond Reddington. Has a number of 1-shot "protective" abilities (Bodyguard/Doctor/Lightning Rod). Scans as "town" (until Reddington dies, then scans as "not town"). Shares a private forum with Reddington.
Win Condition: Be the last people standing.
Hidden: If Reddington dies, Dembe will make it his mission to kill the person responsible (new win condition = kill or be on the lynch train of the person who killed Reddington). Becomes full SK. |
See highlighted text. Seems to me that there has to be a cop in the game, and the only person unaccounted for is TIB. So he has to be cop. In which case he might as well spill what he has.
The other obvious implication of Penner's flip is that Primate = scum...and I reckon one of Mittens/Herm/Nav could be too. | | |

One of TIB or Primate has to be Penner's partner. I lean TIB over Primate.
The inclusion of the "scans as town" could very well be a red herring to not give away that this is a cop-less setup to the scum? | |

I have so many questions stemming from that role flip, but don't want to get into it all right now.
Brief summary -
What if Reddington was lynched.. would he be on a vendetta against the last voter? Or any of the voters?
Does this imply that Reddington can't be lynched?
SK aligned, seems to indicate it's just the 2 of them, but if their only killing ability is a poisoning that's delayed.. that seems kind of weak for them.
If Primate isn't reddington, who could be?

Yeah, maybe. The simpler explanation is that there is a cop though. TIB can help us out here by claiming.
