To continue on my mission to pick songs Curtis hates, I'm going to select one of my most favorite songs ever.
Gladys Knight & The Pips "Midnight Train to Georgia"
One of the best MoTown classics ever. It was written by Jim Weatherly and he used Lee Majors and Farah Fawcett as inspiration.
It hit #1 in 1973 and ranks #432 on the Rolling Stones Topp 500 Songs Of All Time |

I like that this is early cuz I will also be away for 3 weeks starting next Saturday.
Going for a singer from my country The Netherlands. There aren't many Dutch bands or singers that I like, but this guy is an exception. Song is very slow so sorry if y'all find it boring.
Michael Prins - Close to you

“You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth” (A Hot Summers Night) by Meatloaf.
WITH THE INTRO. it’s only 20 seconds and it sets the stage for the song.

That song was written by Jim Steinman. He wrote most of Meat Loafs big hits.
There ya go. | |

Another little tidbit about “Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young”
That song is on the Soundtrack to the 1983 movie Streets of Fire.
When I was stationed in South Korea I went to a local music store to buy the album. They had it but that song was not on it. It was omitted. I was completely puzzled as to why it wasn’t on it. So my Korean girlfriend informed me that the Government sensored certain music. Anything they felt could cause an uprising of the population especially young people. So they banned that song. Lol.
I didn’t realize that the South Korean Govt was that paranoid. Of course that was early 90’s. IDK if it’s still banned.
