Friends hello

Sugarboogerz and I decided NOT to retire FE Watches after all. I know the number of viewers will still likely only shrink or stay as low as its been but...WHO CARES! Its been fine, I still like doing it

So we're gonna do a Phase Three but change it up. The first two phases had twelve movies. Phase Three will have the same but it'll be over the course of the year instead of six months. One movie a month. Nice and simple, no huge commitment and no reason not to do it really. One month gives people plenty of time to watch if they'd like

I also wanna try to Rabbit more often. The Rabbit sessions are really fun and if we have a whole month to find a good day then it should be even easier. I'd love monthly Rabbit sessions to become a fun FE staple

WITH THAT SAID we need a movie for January. Let's do what we did for December, another group pick where we all nominate one movie. I think that worked out well and we had some great picks in there. Maybe we can do that throughout all of Phase Three? We just need five minimum each month really, should be very doable

So maybe try to pick a movie this month with Rabbit in mind. Something that'd be fun to watch with a group would be preferred but if you can't think of anything then just throw something out there, doesn't matter

NOMINATION TIME! Post below

Gonna go with a p random movie

Other People - David, a struggling comedy writer fresh off from breaking up with his boyfriend, moves from New York City to Sacramento to help his sick mother. Living with his conservative father and much-younger sisters for the first time in ten years, he feels like a stranger in his childhood home. As his mother’s health declines, David frantically tries to extract meaning from this horrible experience and convince everyone (including himself) that he’s “doing okay.”

note, I didn't watch the trailer or even read the description and in retrospect it doesn't seem too...happy. But oh well!

Confessions of a Dangerous Mind - Television made him famous, but his biggest hits happened off screen. Television producer by day, CIA assassin by night, Chuck Barris was recruited by the CIA at the height of his TV career and trained to become a covert operative. Or so Barris said.

directed by Clooney, written by Kaufman, starring Rockwell. Been on my radar for a while

I’m committing to this for the year.

Even movies I think will be horrible, I’m gonna watch.

I’ll nominate a movie in a few.

Searching - 2018

After David Kim (John Cho)'s 16-year-old daughter goes missing, a local investigation is opened and a detective is assigned to the case. But 37 hours later and without a single lead, David decides to search the one place no one has looked yet, where all secrets are kept today: his daughter's laptop. In a hyper-modern thriller told via the technology devices we use every day to communicate, David must trace his daughter's digital footprints before she disappears forever.

I saw that - it would be a fun one on Rabbit, though.

Might be hard to find online since it’s so new and still in theaters. I haven’t been able to find it

(I have seen Magnolia but it was a while ago and it's the kind of movie you can watch again and pick up on different things imo - also I think it would be a fun "Rabbit watch")
