This was actually super awesome. The choose your own adventure concept worked great and it had a really cool story (with some extra humor in there too).
ok first off this really didn't warrant being attached to Black Mirror even though that obviously helped their marketing
This was cool though. My original playthrough (that didn't force reset me) seems like it led to the "best" result?

that ending led up to me killing the dad and chopping him up into little pieces, FINALLY getting enough peace and quiet to finish my damn game. Later revealed that his head is sitting on my dresser
But I did get a perfect 5/5 stars from that run!
That was interesting enough, having it just be a regular CYOA in stream form, but it really does pretty much require you to play through the other endings to get the full picture which is pretty different

made you feel slightly less terrible about killing your dad when you go back and see what happens on the day of the mom's death/PACS (unless that was all just part of the kid's delusion). And then of course Colin's lines on LSD all became more clear as time goes on, like the numbers one
One of my favorite divergences was when you give "Netflix" as the sign which leads to the whole therapist fight scene and you have a choice between going through with it or going even more meta and seeing the Black Mirror cast & crew. I was half expecting it to be pushed even further after that and somehow insinuate that WE are being 'controlled' by staying on the loop and choosing certain options that the writers wanted us to

I really couldn't stop laughing after the "Don't you think there would be more action?" line and he threw the coffee in her face and they got into a full-out fight. I kept fighting instead of jumping out the window and the dad comes in as well to join the fight. It was great.
I thought it was....mostly good. I sorta wanted more? Like it didn't feel like a great Black Mirror episode, just a fun/unique event experience but maybe less unique if you've played similar video games which obviously we had. I sorta just feel like neither the episode or the experience will stick with me a month from now. Not like other Black Mirror episodes have
I did love how meta it got, that was fun. I loved the Netflix stuff. The fight cracked me up and the jumping through the window/Black Mirror crew scene was pretty great. Having him become aware that we were making choices for him was easily the best aspect of the whole thing, I wish there was some more of that

I watched this yesterday and thought it was great, and the first ending I got to kinda warranted the Black Mirror attachment.

Which was the same ending you first go to IIRC, which ended with the Netflix programmer making the episode and starting to go mad.
And him saying he made the game just an illusion of choice, the player actually just doing what he wanted us to do.
lol'd when he asked us what to do with the body and said "Really??" after we picked "Chop it up"
It ended for me when I made the kid version of him go on the 8:45 train with his mom, that was pretty fucked up.
Did anyone not say yes to the original offer for working at the office?
Frosties
Thompson Twins
Accept job offer (looped)
Then refused job offer
Avoid talking about my mom
Chose the bermuda triangle vinyl
Shouted at my dad
Followed Colin -> Accept LSD -> Colin jumps (looped)
Got pills from therapists -> threw them away
Watched the video from Colin -> hit the desk
Picked up the family photo
Throw tea on computer -> Netflix watching you
Jumped out of window at therapist office -> see cast and crew
Then went back and watched the choices I didn’t make that lead to different endings

I was wrong about Jamie he is a true visionary and I name him my successor
Taking a break from it right now. This reminds me so much of that game I was LPing a few years ago which I never finished, Phantasmagoria 2. Curtis, you are having a psychotic breakdown.
I watched last night. It was ok, but not as impactfull as I was hoping. Definitely a neat experience and could see other shows eventually going here if the theme required.
If I made certain choices though, it just made me go back and re-choose, so I didn't get that part so much. Made the story hard to follow at times.
It was enjoyable, but I probably won't watch again.
