semi-randomly cherry-picked a few movies from my watchlist. All of which, at the very least, are much shorter than Winter Sleep!


Like Father, Like Son - (Japanese - Drama) Ryota is a successful workaholic businessman. When he learns that his biological son was switched with another boy after birth, he faces the difficult decision to choose his true son or the boy he and his wife have raised as their own.

Wake in Fright - (English - Psychological Thriller) After a bad gambling bet, a schoolteacher is marooned in a town full of crazy, drunk, violent men who threaten to make him just as crazy, drunk, and violent.

Seven Psychopaths - (English - Dark Comedy) A struggling screenwriter inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends kidnap a gangster's beloved Shih Tzu.

Fish Tank - (English - Drama) Everything changes for 15-year-old Mia when her mum brings home a new boyfriend.

Aguirre, the Wrath of God - (German - Epic Historical Drama) In the 16th century, the ruthless and insane Don Lope de Aguirre leads a Spanish expedition in search of El Dorado.

Fun fact, Fish Tank was the first FE movie club pick years ago when Matt Summers tried to start one. But then no one watched :(
