HELLO!

This is something we’ve talked about here and there and it’s time to decide. What does the future for Poll of the Day look like? We have a few options

Option A: Keep going the way we’re going with Pollmaster volunteers. Don’t change anything

Option B: Get seven volunteers. Each person is responsible for posting a poll on their assigned day. So if KC always has Sunday, he knows that each Sunday he has to get a poll up. That’s just four a month, that’s easy for each person to come up with. Each person could maybe even have a poll format of sorts: this or that, deluxe edition, movie edition, would you rather, etc. We could also do this with six volunteers and leave Sunday as a grab bag day for anyone who wants to post one

Option C: every single day is a grab bag day. If you wanna go and someone hasn’t gone yet for the day, feel free to post one up

Option D: bump it down to poll of the week (meh!)

Option E: other. post a new suggestion if you have one


We’ve been doing a gr8 job of keeping it going and its brought a ton of discussion so I wanna find the best way to tackle it going forward. THOUGHTS?

Doing a week's worth of polls is a lot for some.

I voted for B, because I think it's the best way to keep POTD going in its current format.

That said, with both Sheep and Pig running now, we could probably stand to reduce POTD to Poll of the Every other Day, and still have plenty of discussion. I'm not sure there is a need for a brand new poll each day, but only once a week sounds like too much time in between.

I guess the nice thing about someone forgetting is that they’ll just forget their one day instead of a Pollmaster doing 2/7 and forgetting the rest

And if someone is way too forgetful they would just be replaced as one of the seven. We could swap people in and out

I vote for b, but maybe pollsters could do a month then be replaced if they want.

I would sign up to do a day per week as long as it wasn't for eternity.

I'm not picky- I'll do whatever.

I think B is the right answer with and if the polls went every other day even it's be fine with me, but I agree that one a week isn't enough.

What if the pollsters had a forum to share to discuss topics and things. That way too they could come up with polls ahead of time and someone else can post it if they forget or can't get to it for some reason.

Nope.

That would be a terrible way to kick off. The end of events is where the grab bag goes.
