It is illegal for any citizen to own a firearm

Knowing all of you had guns would keep me up at night.

I would pick the first one. I don't trust the government enough to allow them to be the only ones who can own guns.

Plus, gun laws have proven ineffective in keeping guns out of the hands of criminals.

It is possible to defend yourself without having a gun. I’d go that route

Personally mom, I think if I had a gun, for me specifically, there’s like a 91% percent chance I’m the first person killed by that gun

I’m with Primate, bad people are gonna get guns if they want them anyways, I wanna keep mine.

a larger number of bad people are going to have guns if you're legally required to have them. Including mentally unstable people who would have been fine if they weren't in the vicinity of a gun

Very true, but what recourse does one have when people that want guns are gonna have them knowing that anyone that follows the law won’t?

Gun alarmists are cute. Most of them readily admit the foolishness of prohibition in any other matter.

I guess this is a special never gonna happen scenario, so I guess I would be ok with them being illegal with the caveat that I would still own them.
