It would make more sense that someone with first hand experience of being a slaver would write it, it's still practiced by most if not all other colored people than white, mostly asian I think.

The premise seems stupid, surely pressure from the rest of the western world would make the U.S. stop.

I'm honestly struggling to see who their target audience is. Hopefully they can prove me wrong and actually make it effective and scare the shit out of racists, but our country is still far from moving on from the effects of slavery so IMO it is not something that should be portrayed as a dystopia. This is just going to need to be produced very carefully.

No I was trying to point out how stupid it is to think that it's not "chill" for a white person to write about slavery because they might have ancestors who died a 100 years ago who were slavers.

Why does the fact that they are white matter? There are a lot of black people who have the same ancestors? There are people who immigrated to the US that have/had slaves?
