A payphone rings somewhere in New York City, Harold Finch answers it. Finch frantically begins writing. When he is finished writing he calls John Resse and tells him to meet him back at the Library at once. They have 5 new numbers to work. Back at the Library Finch is finishing up taping the last of 5 photos to his board when Resse enters. Resse asks Finch about the new numbers, Finch tells Resse that the numbers are the Dons of the 5 major crime families of New York City. As Resse and Finch work to save the 5 Dons they get a call from Detective Lionel Fusco. Fusco tells them that 2 of the Dons have already been killed and he is on his way to try and save another. As Resse approaches Don Moretti he gets a call from Detective Carter. Carter tells Resse that she has just found another of the Dons dead. Well Resse is on the phone with Carter, the Don and his son get into their car.

Just as Resse finishes his call with Carter there is an explosion. Don Moretti’s car erupts into a ball of fire.

Moments later as Resse gets up from the ground and brushes off his suit he gets a call from Finch informing him that Fosco has found the last of the 5 Dons, also dead.

After failing to save any of the 5 numbers Finch and Resse begin to look into who had them killed.
