Is the need to unlynch before lynching again a stupid rule in mafia?

It's whatever the mod wants. I stop looking for unlnches when I mod tbh.

It's really helpful when I tally, otherwise I don't cross off old names on the list, but if the host doesnt need that its not really necessary

I like it for the aforementioned reason of it being easier to mark off old votes on a vote count. But that's about the only reason. A new lynch cast by a player could just come with an understood ##Unlynch.

That it could keep a potential situation from shifting if someone voted near the end of the day but forgot to unlynch first is kind of silly. Not sure if that's ever happened, but it could, I guess.

Buffy's very reasonable drawing up above is really making me lean towards "get rid of it".

It's happened a few times actually, it's happened during some of those last minute trains.

I missed Herm (FU Mafia) and missed Wikey (why didn't you sign up?), but yes, unlynch can be abolished imo.

Speaking purely from the point of view of a host, I think unlynch can be helpful. But it wouldn't be hard for a host to adjust if that rule was scrapped.

It would probably be better tbh. Thinking about it, it should be the hosts job to keep track of changing votes. I think there would be less mistakes that way.
