Quick breakdown of the seasons in order. Black = eliminated in Round 1 and irrelevant. Red = eliminated this round
QUITE interesting! The old school stretch from Africa to All Stars was the longest stretch of seasons to make it through round one. But in round two, they were ALL eliminated, making up 6/8 of the eliminations. The middle stretch of seasons seems to be holding up the best by far. Third era were wiped out in the first round, first era were wiped out in the second round, but the middle era seems to be the mostly fondly remembered by us. Likely because it had a mix of old school charm/players still learning the game with new school strategy/blindsides
Borneo Australia Africa Marquesas Thailand Amazon Pearl Islands All Stars
Vanuatu Palau Guatemala
Panama Cook Islands Fiji
China
Micronesia
Gabon Tocantins
Samoa
Heroes vs Villains Nicaragua Redemption Island South Pacific One World Philippines Caramoan Blood vs. Water
Cagayan
San Juan Del Sur Worlds Apart
It all depends on what you like. We've seen most everything strategy wise so I enjoy characters. I think that was what made Cagayan (of recent seasons) that great. Because Tony was a character, the few episodes Woo starred in he was a character. Kass was a character.
So ya some of the early seasons may not have had the dramatic double idol play. But they had some of the best characters.
"So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"
