It's dark.




You find yourself on the ground, face full of dirt.

You don't remember falling asleep here.

You look around but can't make anything out in the darkness.

Where are you?

You squint but can only make out the vaguest of shapes.




There is murmuring around you as you notice the outlines of several persons surrounding you. But beyond the fact that they are person shaped you can't make out any details.



You attempt to call out to the shapes but your voice fails you.

You cannot move from where you stand either. You feel restrained but do not feel the restraints.

The ground is dirt as are the walls and ceiling. The only thing that seems to not be dirt is you and what you assume to be the other people in the room.

"Where are we?" You hear someone say.

There is a murmur in the suddenly active group of dark shapes around you.

"What's going on?"

"HELLO?!"

You decide to remain silent for the time being.

Suddenly a dim light appears before you. One of the walls appears to glow like a TV set.

An fuzzy image appears on the wall.



The weird rabbit-like shape begins to speak with a distorted voice.

"Greetings u embleer hrair"

"Who the hell are you and what is all this?!" One of the dark figures screams out.

"Glad you asked. Let's just get right to it I guess. I am Hazel, and this is one of my many Warrens."

The ground seems to shake as he speaks with a booming voice.

"I am so glad you could join me for a little game." The image of the rabbit seems to move as he speaks but it might just be the static on the screen you can't be sure.

"What game?" Someone asks.

"For too long you stinking thousand have roamed the earth and forced us underground as you decide our fates with an iron spade, but no longer. Now you will travel the tunnels of the earth in hopes of survival and escape. You will know what it is like to be the prey, to be the fodder." He bellows with a deep distorted laugh.

"This is insane let us go!" Someone yells.

"You may all leave, if you survive. You also may all die if you fail. I do not care which. I'll be in touch." As quickly as the screen came on it went off again.

"What do we do where do we go?" Another voice says.

You turn to the voice and begin to speak your mind but begin to choke as gas fills the room. You slowly pass out on the floor.

What will happen next you have no idea but for now all you can do is drift into unconsciousness.

Welcome to The Warrens.

This is an interactive story that you all can play together.

You will all take control of a single character and help guide them through the maze-like tunnels of the warrens. In much the same way as one would play a game of labyrinth. Only now instead of everyone playing an individual and dividing and conquering you will need to work together to control your character to do their best to survive. You can talk to other players and gain their favour or maybe kill them and take their things. But all actions will have negative and positive consequences towards your final goal.

Ultimately think of this as a sort of Telltale version of Labyrinth where you have to make choices and make alliances without always knowing the whole story. You can talk to other players and get info from them but beware the possibility of them having a second agenda.

The game will have a bit more freedom than a typical labyrinth as it is more of a story than a game so inspecting or collecting things will be less rigid and you are encouraged to think outside the box in most circumstances.

About the game itself. It will begin fairly soon. But before it begins I have things that you all can do. Feel free to PM me with characters you'd like to see as NPCs. Just a picture and a name is fine but short 1-2 sentence blurb is fine too but not neccisary. If I don't get enough character ideas I'll make some up.

In addition feel free to post what the player character will look like and what their name will be in the thread. It can be male or female of any reasonable age as long as the character is human. If you like a character idea and want to play as that character. Like the post, dislike for if you don't. The one with the most like points after a period of time will be the main character.

Any questions feel free to ask, I'll do my best to answer them unless it's related to something that will be kept secret for now.

Thanks for reading, and I hope this will be a lot of fun. I know we like Labyrinth and Telltale games and whatnot and I hope this can maybe scratch more than a few itches.

Well if you are serious just post one of them in a post with a new name, or both each in their own posts so it's easier to tally the likes/dislikes.
