It's got a kickstarter up and is slated for a October 2016 release. Might be cool. Couple of us were talking about wanting to see an 80's-style slasher game not too long ago.
An extra bonus -- it's going to be a Damned-style game where one player is Jason and up to seven others play as counselors who depict various horror movie stereotypes.
This is the same concept as the game Last Year that I was telling you about. The one that was likely a fraud and was cancelled. This game was gonna sue them for copyright anyway I think
I'm excited. The theme lends itself perfectly to these asymmetrical games that keep coming out

It was another non Jason movie last year but the guy who owns the IP let them use it.
Voice chat in this game is proximity based so we should definitely try playing that way instead of Skyping
If players are close enough to each other then they'll hear each others' voices. You can also find walkie talkies so if two players have one they'll be able to talk to each other at all times
If Jason is close enough to you he'll be able to hear you talking. You literally have to keep it down or stay dead silent if you think he's around you. I fucking love that. Voices will slowly fade out too so if Jason is just out of reach you can keep it to a low whisper and he won't necessarily be able to make out what you're saying. He'd also be able to talk to you if he's within range
