The admins and moderators confirmed its him. I assume they got a picture of obama holding up his reddit screen name, which is how they usually confirm famous people.

Not really. People are surprisingly respectful when a celebrity does an AMA. I checked the thread and they mostly seemed like legit questions.

Problem was that everyone and their dog was on reddit and the site crashed and was unresponsive for the majority of the time he had to actually answer questions. He answered around 10 though and im sure he will be back to answer some more when he has time.

He also confirmed it on his real confirmed twitter account

I couldnt go through the whole 23k comments but from what little I could see before the crash seemed like honest questions about real issues

Never said the answered ones where the best! He seemed to avoid talking about legalizing marijuana which he has been avoiding for a long time

If he had said LeBron, I definitely wouldn't be voting for him :P
