Am I the only one that likes the Dany story? I like Dany, the dragons and Jorah isn't bad to look at either.

I really liked it in S1, but since then it's been pretty dull to me save for Dany firebombing Astapor. She's gotten SMUG and nothing seems to be much of a challenge lately. I think it'll be more interesting if/when she has some kind of setback/conflict rather than just steamrolling through Essos and liberating all the slaves

And honestly part of it too is how isolated she is from everything. All the stories in King's Landing/the war are usually the best because of all the overlap going on

Basically what Boc said. I had a longer response but my net ate it.

I like Jorah and Barristan and Greyworm and Missandei, and sometimes Dany, and I like the dragons, and I enjoy seeing the rest of the world, but the story has been stalling there. It's gotten a bit repetitive, we know there is minimal chance it will have any immediate ramifications to the plot in Westeros, and for the most part Dany's only being opposed by enemies who stand little chance of defeating her, and who are for the most part evil dicks anyway.

So Dany gets to run around freeing slaves she can't possibly feed, while defeating enemies who deserve to be defeated, and is in very little danger while doing so. She's not being challenged so most of her growth so far is just becoming more smug and powerful. And none of it has really rippled across the Narrow Sea to Westeros yet, so it doesn't effect anything else.

I hope they speed up Dany's story like they did others'. I'm not feeling like waiting forever for pieces to get lined up over there.

I find the cities she is practicing being queen of before moving on about as exciting as an ant farm. Which is to say, not very exciting, and I think that taints everything else for me. I do like the dragons, and Barristan and Mormont and the rest of her entourage.

And the spirit of Strong Belwas who was so ruthlessly removed from the show. Sometimes I can still see him shitting on decapitated bodies in the distance.

I'm just repeating what has already been said, basically. Which is quite fitting for a discussion on Dany's storyline. Once all is said and done hopefully it won't seem as frustratingly plodding as it does now. I just really, really hate the character names in this upcoming city.

I just want to fast forward to ADwD when it comes to her stuff, so I want them it to get underway during the next season or something.

Isn't ADWD the most recent book? Unless GRRM writes another book I doubt they're going anywhere near the latest one
