SO! Quentin Tarantino's next film is called The Hateful Eight. It's a western so it's probably a play on The Magnificent Seven. Cool title

BUT NOW!

http://www.deadline.com/2014/01/quentin-tarantino-hateful-eight-leak-novel/

He gave the first draft to only six different people and one of them leaked it immediately. He's scraping it (turning it into a book?) and making an entirely new movie

That sucks (: . Sounded cool from what I heard of it, and another western by Tarantino would be great

Tbh his next movie should be a Tarantino-eque revenge flick about Tarantino himself hunting down the six people who leaked his script, with Madsen/Roth/Dern playing themselves (:

god that's a bummer. i was SO EXCITED but he's allowed to do as he wishes. Shame that either Madsen or Dern are probably FORBIDDEN from working with him for a while

Actually he says later in the article that he still wants to write a big part for Dern in his next movie, which is kinda confusing.

I was looking forward to it but tbh I don't mind that he's gonna do something different now since he already did a Western with Django anyway. It'll be an even longer wait though which does suck

Damn I'd love to see his spin on Seven Samurai/Magnificent Seven. Also most of his movies have strong western influences. I'd love to see him go way off in a new direction tbqh

i dunno, i was expecting a kind of JACKIE BROWN-style take on the genre. We know he can do it over-the-top and well, but a more subtle and restrained (while still being Tarantino) movie would be nice.

I loved Jackie Brown so much. I need to re-watch it since it has been a while.

Man that is beautiful. But the trailer kind of feels like they were handed a bunch of dialogue scenes and had to make it exciting somehow

Really looking forward to this. I think Sandler, Terry Crews, and Hurley from LOST are going to kill it. Not sure how Lautner fits in but we'll see.
