All cynicism and joking aside, this is pretty sad. It doesn't really need saying and it will be said by an awful lot of people in the next few months though. It would definitely be a lot sadder in the case of a younger man who hadn't really had the chance to say and do some pretty incredible things.

I always find it saddest when somebody pretty incredible dies and it goes relatively unnoticed tbh. I'm not sure how it went down in America but Neil Armstrong's death barely raised a footnote in the media here. | | |

I very vaguely remember hearing about Armstrong, but the TV is almost always on CNN here.
Mandela is getting a lot of coverage right now actually, the news has been talking about him all day. Course he's a hot subject right now so who knows if that'll last. In a way and morbid as it is to say, I'm kind of glad the media got fed a bit of a bone today since they were bringing Sandy Hook up again for no obvious reason.
Paul Walker, however, will be talked about until 2016. |
