As the sun sets on this beautiful southern California Christmas Eve evening, the sounds of laughter and joy can be heard coming from the majestic Nakatomi Plaza building. Inside, a group of people are anxious to finish their jobs for the day, so they can retire to their families and enjoy the rest of the holiday festivities.


Hans Gruber and his incredible team are almost done with their banking transactions for the day, and are excitedly looking forward to their upcoming trip and spending the holidays on a tropical beach, earning 20%. Just as they are trying to finish up, they hear a loud commotion from a few floors above them, and then the sounds and sights of law enforcement vehicles show up outside the building.

"This better not cause us to miss out flight" Karl quipped under his breath.

His brother Tony quickly slapped him up the backside of his head. "Shut up stupid and get back to work. We're almost done."

Meanwhile, the local and federal law enforcement agents setup a perimeter around the building, effectively blocking any escape from anyone inside the building.

"I'd like to see them try to get through this blockade" said Deputy Police Chief Dwayne T. Robinson.

"It'd only take a helicopter from the roof or a quick exit out of the back of the parking basement" mumbled Sergeant Al Powell under his breath.

"What was that Sergeant?" shouted Robinson? "If I wanted your opinion, I'd give it to you."

"Nothing sir...nothing at all..."
