Brian drove back to his abode, belly full of pharmaceutical pho with some NyQuil Severe Cold & Flu to wash it down.

Those words echoed in Brian's head as he winded his way around downtown Somebad. He looked down at the pile of empty NyQuil bottles on his passenger seat and gulped nervously.

"I'm not sick guys I swear!! Don't pity me yet" he pleaded to no one in particular.

Or so he thought. Suddenly, he caught a gaze of an animate shadow in his rearview mirror. He tried to remain calm and formulated a plan to halt the car and bail. Only problem was...as he tapped the brakes, he noticed they were no longer of any use at all. He looked back up at his rearview mirror and spotted the shadow diving out of the car...then his eyes returned to the road where he noticed he was zooming towards a cliff.

Brian quickly jerked the wheel to try to change course, but it only spent the car spinning out of control. In his last recourse, he threw his door open and dove from the vehicle, just as it spun over the edge.

He tumbled over the rocky ground several times, cutting himself up quite a bit...but his body stopped just inches short of the cliff. Triumphantly, he clambered to his feet and let out a soft "yay"...only to discover the ground below was anything but stable. Before he could react, the earth gave out from under him and he slammed his head on a rock. His body tumbled down the cliff to his watery grave, down to feed the fishes.

Perhaps someone has the ability to choose one person to protect against being lynched for that day? That’s the best I can think of for that scenario.

Possibly. Only two of the four votes were cancelled but it was just enough to put Kat in the lead.

That’s why I guessed he was similar to a mason and we may have anti-commune (cult).

I’ve never heard of a commune before. But, it’s a recruiting role that is town, so mason was the closest to similarity.
