1. Don't pick up the phone. You know he's only calling 'cause he's drunk and alone.
2. Don't let him in. You have to kick him out again.
3. Don't be his friend. You know you're gonna wake up in his bed in the morning. And if you're under him, you ain't getting over him.
Etiquette, Respect
No personal attacks allowed. If you feel like someone has crossed the line let a host know and we'll use our best discretion.
No cheating of any kind is allowed in this game. Screenshots are NOT allowed, however chat logs (copy and pasting conversations ) are permitted. Keep in mind that these can be altered by players to their benefit. You are allowed to make fake powers, idols, etc... just do NOT involve the hosts.
Communication
Communication between players will be done via the forums or via Slack. We will be communicating on a Slack channel for this game. You are not to communicate using any other methods.
Once you have been voted out of the game, you may NOT communicate with players still in the game. If an eliminated player speaks with you, please contact a host immediately. If a jury member is caught doing this, then they are at risk of having their jury spot revoked.
You are NOT allowed to reveal your alias, or any other player's alias. Alias speculation with other players is also not allowed. Alias speculation is when you talk to other players about who you think players in the game are. You can hypothesize in the comfort of your confessional if you must, but do not bring it into conversations with other players.
Activity
We reserve the right to remove inactive people from the game! If a situation arises that prevented you from posting confessionals, let the hosts know.
We measure activity in various ways, including confessionals, challenge participation, and obviously, voting! While there is no formal strike system in place this season, if you are not doing what you are supposed to be doing in this game, then you will be removed. If we think you're slacking we will give you warning before removing you but try to keep yourself honest.
You are expected to post at least one confessional per round. It isn't hard to write at least a paragraph about what is going on from your perspective.
Challenges
Challenges will take place following tribal council. They will be live, semi-live, or non-live. Most challenges will take place over a 24 hour period, but we may extend that time if requested in advance.
In general, discussing your challenge submissions is not allowed. We will operate this on an honor system since there isn't any way to enforce it much ourselves but if anyone tries breaking this rule with you then please contact a host.
Definitions:
Live - this challenge will take place once it is posted. It will end in less than 24 hours, so being there when it starts is usually a necessity. We will inform you of what the challenge is shortly before it begins. We will inform contestants of when live challenges are coming up so that we can pick a time and date that works for as many players as possible.
Semi-live - This challenge will take place once it is posted, and it is advisable to be there when it starts. However, it will continue for 24 hours, so it is not a necessity to be there right when it starts.
Non-live - This challenge can be done at any point within a 24 hour period.
Select-live - You will need to contact a host to do this challenge, where it must be completed once you contact them.
Tribal Council, Voting
Tribal Council will take place immediately after an immunity challenge, or at the host’s discretion. You will have 24 hours to cast your vote in your confessional.
Boot lists are NOT required in this game but they are advisable. A boot list is an ordered list of who you would want to vote out in the event that you do not cast a vote at tribal council. If for some reason you don't vote, we will go based off of your bootlist if you have one. Otherwise, not submitting a vote will result in a SELF-VOTE.
Ties: A tie at tribal council will result in a re-vote, where only those who received the most votes can be voted for. If a tie results after that, the players will draw rocks. If there is a tie with only four players remaining in the game, then we will proceed to a tiebreaker challenge.
Special items: Players play special items (e.g., idols, double votes) when they cast their vote. Special items (such as idols) can be played on other players. Also, you can give special items to other people that are on your tribe. Do this by simply posting in your voting confessional that you'd like to give an item to another player. Once you submit this, the item will be passed so think carefully before you do this.
When you have finished reading these rules, please like this post. Thanks!
Punishments
Punishments can vary from a warning, to removal from the game and anything else we see appropriate for the crime. We will give you a warning in most cases, but this can increase to self votes at tribal, giving your tribe a penalty in the next immunity challenge or anything else. We don't want to ever have to do any of these things but we will proceed as necessary.
Player removal
If a player is removed from the game, we as hosts reserve the right to cancel or not cancel tribal council. This will be up to the host's discretion and it will depend on the circumstances involved. We also reserve the right to remove a player from the game for whatever reason.
In the end...
The hosts have the final say in all situations. We will remain as fair and unbiased as possible. We want to host a fun game for everybody, but if a player breaks these rules, then we will be forced take action.
