What in the world was a Deathday Party? Who in their right ghostly mind would want to celebrate the day they died? Especially Nearly Headless Nick who was struck with a blunt ax more times than should have been allowed. Cormac was appalled he had to disguise himself as a dead person but was relieved that at the very least the name he was supposed to go by was at least pronounceable, even a mildly debonaire, just like the real him. The food was terrible, the music was Wizard God Awful, and everyone seemed to drift in and out with so much morose and grief that after a few hours Cormac had seen and interacted with enough of the other guests as he could endure and decided to leave and prepare his guesses for who was under each of the ghost figure identities.

When the results came, Cormac was unsurprised by his above average score but worried when four of his tribe number dropped all in the same round. Cormac was on tenterhooks when he realized his one hope of surviving was the one player he had voted for and survived, Lily Potter. She pulled it out in the end and Cormac showered her with good graces.

However, Cormac had other things on his mind after the information Minerva provided last round turned out to be incredibly true concerning the Hufflepuff Idol. Cormac was now only two numbers away from the combination. He thought he had a pretty good idea what they may be, but it was all still one large guessing games with some holes filled in. Cormac had to admit, his school work, friend, and family relationships were beginning to slip, and he took the entire day during which Rictusempra attended tribal council to step away and enjoy time far from the game and made the conscious decision not to interact with his competitors as much today.

As such, Cormac listed his tribemates and how well he had communicated with them thus far based on O.W.L. grades: (O)utstanding, (E)xceeds Expections, (A)cceptable, (P)oor, (D)readful, (T)roll.

1. Angelina Johnson - T
2. Fred Weasley - T
3. Lily Potter - P
4. Madame Maxime - T
5. Poppy Pomfrey - T

Cormac was sure he would pay for his time off but that was neither here nor there at the moment. He felt his current relationships with Angelina, Lily, and Poppy were at least well enough to let him skate by a few rounds in the merge if it were on the horizon, and Cormac desperately wished it were. As with most wishes in the magical world, there was a likely scenario he would get it.
