1. HI I'M DON. I think there are going to be some people here that know me, but I'm very in-and-out with the world of ORGs. Last time I played a game was Twisted 9, and due to some real-life stuff, I ended up dropping from the game. Now, I was very adamant about my retirement, but due to some more unfortunate IRL stuff, I'm back. When the world gets you down, retreat online and play games, right? Rather than go into my hardships, because that's boring and nobody wants to listen to someone complain about their problems. You're here to watch me fucking suck at an ORG again. For those who don't know me, here's the brief rundown: I'm really great at analyzing and discussing gameplay from a distance, and I'm a solid social player - I'm just the absolute worst ORG player once I'm in game. See, I make really, really stupid choices (whether they're mistakes or intentional), and usually those bad choices end up with me getting out.
However...
I'm not quite like your standard ORG player. I don't play these silly things to win - I'm just here to have a good time. I'll be an evil mastermind or play with my heart on my sleeve, and do it for the joy of playing the game. Winning an ORG hasn't been something I've set my eyes on since I was a bright-eyed rookie back in 2013. That can be off-putting for some, due to how seriously people can take the games,
but oh well. It is a game, and isn't the joy in the journey, rather than just the end?
As for more personal stuff about me, given how rambly I can get, I'm still living in Los Angeles, but that will change this summer. I'm moving to Portland, Oregon FINALLY. Honestly this is somewhat lame, but my biggest fear is still heights. I will never skydive, or do extreme rock climbing, or some other rich white people shit. I prefer my rich white people shit to be eating cheese and buying overpriced craft beer.
As for a fictional character I identify with, I'll go for a curveball answer: Victor Frankenstein. He's intelligent, self-absorbed, driven, emotional (both in touch with his emotions and sometimes too emotional of a person), and ultimately destructive. Now, I'm not nearly as narcissistic as Frankenstein, and definitely have a lot more self-awareness, but I see the similarities between the brilliant doctor and I. He's a cautionary tale of what not to become, and I've absorbed the good while keeping the bad an arm's length away.
2. Strategy? What strategy?
My downfall is me. I'm always the cause of my game unraveling before me (if there is a game to unravel at all), and I think every single one of my boots links directly to a mistake I've made along the way.
3. If Mike from ASurvivor counts, then Mike. He's fackin skitz. If not, then Randy Bailey from Gabon A wedding videographer that hates love, an older man who excels at challenges, an extremely intelligent villain who doesn't give a fuck while being right about almost everything, and Operation Crash and Burn is one of my favorite plans in Survivor history. I've tried it myself (it didn't work).
My favorite season is Marquesas. It has so many fantastic characters and really fun moments, and that's what I seek in the show. Everyone in the cast is developed to an extent, and everyone sans Patricia and The General have three things I can remember about them that helped make them an interesting character. It's what I loved about Survivor.
My favorite moment in Survivor history was Bruce's medivac in Panama. He's just feeling like shit out on the beach, is writhing in pain, and production steps in to take him home. Then, naked Shane is there to help carry him off, and Courtney just sings the whole time even when Bruce asks her not to. Then, the next day, she fucks up his rock garden. It's like you took the Always Sunny cast and plopped them in a Survivor scene.
My favorite Harry Potter character is fucking Neville. How could it not be Neville? He's the true hero of the story. Dude had it rough growing up, gets picked on, starts to find himself, ultimately ends up saving the day in the end with his friends and taking a stand against shitty authority. He's Harry with actual depth. Anyone who answers Snape to this can fight me though.
4 Absolutely not lmao. Still, I'm always a blast to watch. I'm usually a pretty loyal player, I try and play based on who I like and dislike more than anything else. I'm a great confessor on the whole,
so the deeper I go into the game, you can usually count on something somewhat fun to be written. Besides, I'm playing Lockhart. Even if I were to shtick him, it'd be like I'm playing myself.
5. Gimme fucking teleportation. Sure, it's a pretty common answer, but I wanna be able to travel to anywhere within the snap of my fingers. It would mean I could save a ton of money on airfare and lodging, too. Just boom, I'm in Paris. No need to pay for a hotel, I'm back home. Morning? Cool, shower at home, aaaaand I'm back in Paris.
6. We'll get back to this one.
7. Sorry if it's lame, but I don't ever really speculate on twists. Something Chamber of Secrets oriented I'm sure, but I have no idea.
8. This is the perfect rep for me. If you know me, you understand. If you don't know me, you will very soon. | |
