CLOSING STATEMENT

By my count, I've written 15,958 words so far at this FTC, and I'm amazed that so many of you seem to actually be reading through all of it - that's an endurance challenge in itself! Thank you for having the patience to put up with my lengthy outpouring of explanations!

I don't intend to add another 1,000 to that number here, I think most of what I felt I needed to say has been said by now.

- I think I played a complete game. Whether it was strategic, social or physical, I was a fierce competitor in every dimension of Survivor. FTC is where criticisms of your game come out, but no one has said I made the wrong strategic moves, betrayed my relationships with other players or under-performed in challenges.

- I overcame obstacles. I was targeted almost constantly for at least a couple of weeks in the middle of the game and I had to fight constantly using every tactic I could think of. This wasn't an easy path to FTC but I fought every step of the way to earn my place here.

- I worked hard. My game started weeks before check-ins and I constantly devoted every spare second I could find to this game. When I thought I needed the Slytherin Idol, I posted on mobile for the first 20 hours of the recipe while I was on the road and had no computer. I had to invent reasons to pull out my phone and post in multiple meetings, but I wasn't going to let anything stop me from doing everything I could to keep going.

- I tried something new. I came into this game determined to find a way to win despite being a very visible player and to find a way to use new tactics and re-think a lot of the old ideas about things like how to play an idol or fake an item.

I would love to push the ball over the line to complete my goal, but that decision is up to you now!

Hosts, thank you again for putting together everything this season, it's been great and I still can't get over how much I've loved this theme. You know from my book rankdown that the Chamber of Seacrest has always been far from my favourite book but every time I read it from now on I will think of this season and the fond memories will probably bump it up a few spots on my list.

Viewers, thank you for being a faithful audience. You keep me sane and you keep me inspired to dedicate myself fully to this game, even at my darkest moments.

Jurors & pre-jurors, thank you for being a dedicated and exciting cast. This has been a blast because of all the people I got to interact with and all the twists and turns and unique elements that each and every one of you brought to the game. An ORG is only as good as the people who choose to play in it.

Draco & Ron, thanks for a competitive FTC. We all wrote books and argued our cases exhaustively and that's what everyone always wants to see in an FTC, except maybe the actual finalists. I'm sure we all gave each other a lot of stress over the last few days, but it comes from a good place and shows how much we care about these games.

Can't wait to talk to you all again at reunion!
