~first impressions


it's so annoying to me when people try to like "play" the character that they've chosen for their rep. I don't know why it bothers me so much but I just hope they knock it off soon and I don't have to listen to them drone on for this entire game.

The only people I've spoken to are Mirabella Plunkett, Rita Skeeter and Amos Diggory. None have made a really lasting impression, mostly just small talk.

I will say that I am most impressed with Mirabella Plunkett's rep. As someone who considers themselves a really big HP fan, I can only imagine that they must also be a huge fan of the series to select someone literally not even mentioned in the books or movies as their rep. Assuming they didn't google the shit out of unknown hp characters, the only mention of Mirabella Plunkett's story is actually on the "Famous Witch or Wizard" cards found inside of Chocolate Frogs. That's some next level harry potter nerdism and I am HERE for it.

Last night we all got on rabb.it and watched the Sorcerers Stone together which was SO. CUTE. (even though I passed out like 45 minutes in loloops) I've been just SO busy with work this weekend that I didn't have time to really chat or make connections with people so I was really worried going into our first immunity challenge. I'm not really sure how people view me, and I'm nervous that I might be seen as an inactive since I didn't even try for the idol and missed the first challenge entirely. LET ME JUST SAY that this challenge was brutal and it was so hard to work together as a team in alternating posts between EIGHT different people. I'm honestly convinced that Nick Parr orchestrated the whole thing to intentionally be the most stressful experience bc he is sadistic af. ANYWAY......we won or whatever and I'm at least safe for another round & can work on building some relationships from here on out. (cuz y'all know I can't rely on challenges to save my ass...)

Honestly, I have been so MIA for most of this round. This game is moving so much faster than Disney Survivor and it's becoming harder for me to keep up. Everyone has been super nice to me so far, though. I watched a couple more movies with my tribe. I'll say that if we were to have gone to tribal, I honestly don't know who I'd vote out at this point.....and that scares me a little bit.

Snape reached out and wanted me to help him make some guesses at the Hufflepuff common room. I don't really see any harm in working together, so why not I guess.

For the challenge I was paired with Maxime and Lockhart. Maxime is a sweetheart and I trusted her, but I wasn't sure we could trust Lockhart after my weird (and only) interaction with him. It turned out to be not a big deal at all and Maxime and I both won immunity for our tribes.

Thankfully, since our lovely host Angelina is still on our tribe, we watched the Order of the Pheonix last night as a tribe. Sidenote: If I get voted out of this game before we watch the Deathly Hallows movies, I'm gonna be pissed.

Thank goodness, a day OFF!

This week has been fucking insane. Between drama at home, school and work- I'm drained. I'm not gonna lie- I voted for the challenge to be on Wednesday and then didn't think twice about the possibility of it being on another day. When I realized I missed the challenge, I felt like shit. I still feel bad. I'm so annoyed with myself for not being more proactive about checking Slack. Ugh. Figures that I'd end up at tribal for the first time after all that. This tribe would be damn right to vote my inactive ass out.

Buuuuuuut. Hold the phone. I think I may have just pulled an alliance out of my ass. WHAT. Thank fucking goodness Angelina picked two of my closest allies, Lily & Maxime to be on our tribe. I mentioned something to Maxime about how it would be cool to have a "female dominated vote" and she took the bait. She brought up the idea of making an "original serp" group and I just fucking ran with it. Lily and Angelina were instantly on board with the idea as well. If this works, we'd have majority 4-3. Plus, I've still got a really good relationship with Pomfrey, so I'm sure I could get her to vote with us without actually including her in the alliance. Damn, I hope this works. I don't even care who goes home, as long as it ain't me.

Also- since Angelina and I were both working with Sev on the Hufflepuff guesses, she felt compelled enough to tell me what Sev's last guess was, and that he got 4/7 correct. Like, okay!!!! Thanks for doing half of the work for me. Preeeeesh.

Of COURSE I'm petrified.

Basically everyone lied to me, but I still campaigned my ass off the last 2 hours. If nothing else, at least I didn't just lay down and die.

Spilled some tea, wreaked some havoc, and hopefully blew up some people's games.

I hope Cormac wins this thing.
