~*Ron's Response to Lily's Question*~

So I don't know too much about the show, but I asked someone what a good jury question would be, and they said what modern influential leader have you emulated during this game and what qualities do you feel from that individual that you have shown best?

Thanks so much for this question. When I think of this, it brings me directly to politicians. So I have to try and imagine a sleazy politician. Who is going to say they love you, and they have your back and then immediately go the other direction to better themselves?



Donald Trump



In my opening statement thread, Lockhart brings up a factor of me bitching about fellow players. This brings me to my first quality that we share of dishonesty. I will bitch behind closed doors, but to your face I will never say such things. I feel like Trump is very similar. He acts moral and of high regard for the American people but, does not care about them. Now, I do care about the people in this game. I don’t hate anyone I spoke to. However, my game was not a loyal game. It was not a trustworthy ending of only being truthful to Draco/Mira this entire game. I lied to Mira, she didn’t know I told Angelina about the items she was giving me—and giving her the Slytherin idol items. Draco doesn’t know that I knew Maxime told him to vote for Fred when Lockhart was leaving(and that I was online the entire time to tell him otherwise). They didn’t need to know that. I lied to Pomfrey/Fred about making a potential F3 with Draco/Cormac. I lied to Cormac about actually 100% going to the F3 with him. I lied to Angelina/Lily about wanting to work with them when Angelina left. I lied to Maxime when she left. I lied to Lockhart when he left. I lied to Snape, the list could go on.

Another quality that Trump can provide to the people that support him is charisma. He has something that allows people to follow him even though he gives them enough reason to not do this. I gave many people reason to believe I could not be trusted. The only people that knew Lockhart was leaving was Maxime and Mira, and then I vote out Maxime the very next round? How can you then trust me? (I did tell Pomfrey at the end of this round as well what was going down to save her trust for future). They trusted me because of my charm. My ability to make them smile, and laugh. Giggle a little bit before you hit the sheets. Maybe I talked to you about your favorite show, or movie that you just seen. Maybe I tried to bond with you over doing school work, etc. I can, and will, talk about anything with anyone. I have charisma and charm in my 1:1 conversations.



A third quality that I feel Trump has, love or hate him, is determination. He never gives up even when polls and the entire media states he could not win the election. I have been through many ups and downs in this game. I was blindsided in the Final 16 when Rita left this game. I was pushed into not trusting Lockhart, having Lily know I would vote her out. I then went into another tribe where I had the choice to choose between working with that said person, Lockhart, along with Snape. Or attempt to make new allies and potentially go against my enemies. I entered a merge situation, where I could have easily been pegged with Mira/Newt/Draco and just been picked off. I was determined to change my game, and fight for my survival. I did this by aligning myself with Fred/Pomfrey and working the middle part of the game to my advantage. I never gave up on my social game with any person even if they were next to be voted out. I needed all information I could obtain to better my chances at sitting here right now. I was determined to make it to the Final 3. I think this determination and thought got me here. I never gave up.



That brings me to the final quality we share lack of self-restraint. Trump Is known to post crazy tweets. Tweets that nobody can understand why a president would possibly post. He is the PRESIDENT. I share that same inability to censor myself many times. I must bitch, and spam, and get my feelings out somewhere. I used my confessional for this at times. My thoughts just rambling. Other times I would spam Pomfrey. I would spam Mirabella, Lockhart, Fred, Draco. Whomever I could. I would vent to them about someone else. I know I bitched to Angelina at times as well to see that maybe I wasn’t as close to Mira. But also, to vent about MIRA’S STUPID FUCKING CHATS.



Overall with these qualities, he did something right. He got to where he wanted to be. I used my positive qualities and my negative qualities to get here as well. This was my goal, this was my presidency. I had to do what I had to do to make it work, and it did work. At times, I almost think I overthought it. Maybe Cormac/Draco never had the ability or want to go to Fred for a F3? Did I overthink that, Did I think too much about their game. Should I not have lied to Angelina/Lily about being friends with them? Would me ostracizing them not have caused them to target me? Would I have still been okay? But ultimately I come to the same conclusion: I don't leave my fate up to chance--I take control of it. I took control of every possible situation I could socially to make sure it was going the way I needed it to go.
