Just didn't expect the idol to be so easy to find now I'm really mad at myself, at least Mira got the Gryfindor one even if we aren't on the same tribe! I liked her we were getting along and she's the only person I told so far about the idol probably being found. Now that tribes are made I'll probably talk to a few people about it and see if we can be friends.

Devastated to not be with Lilly! Who am I going to bake with now :( Other than that Madame P picked almost everyone I've talked to most so far except for Hagrid so I like this. Can't wait to win this challenge!

I just had a heart attack when the new page started because I thought I posted that publicly lmaoooooo.

The other day in my College Credit English class, we read a passage called, "The Myth of Sisyphus"

If you've never read it before, it references the story of a guy stuck rolling a boulder up a hill until he gets to the top and it falls back down. Sisyphus was punished by the greek gods to be doing this for all eternity with no hope of ever completing his task.

The central point of the text as a whole is a thing called "Absurdism." The absurd is:



However, one way to avoid this conflict, as the author of the text puts it, is to simply accept life as we see it and avoid thinking about it having any sort of meaning or purpose. Sisyphus is known as the ideal absurd hero because of this predicament he was put in where there was no possible way to complete his task. However, as long as he accepts that there is nothing more to life than this absurd struggle, then he can find happiness in it. He can find satisfaction in his life as he made his own purpose to follow through with; the rolling up and down of this boulder.

So why mention it? Well, that challenge was the pinnacle of living life as a group of absurdist heroes.

We were put in an absurd situation where there was no real purpose to our task. Sure, we can win "Immunity" but really, what does that do? This game, just like life, is simply going to be a long struggle to reach some socially accepted goal. Having to post over and over again, for seemingly an eternity, became our purpose. Once we were able to accept it and move on, then the task got easier. Sure we still lost, but I think it will be an excellent metaphor for the rest of the game. This is going to be a struggle, and the only way to overcome it, is to simply accept it and find happiness.

Oh, and Dumbledore is gonna be deader than a door-nail in about 21 hours c ya.

Also on the off chance this is how we were supposed to do it:

That is probably not going to do anything though I still think that baby is gone. I talked to Cormac about it a bit and we also talked about what we're going to do next round if we lose. I think it's a forgone conclusion Hagrid is going to be the one to bite the dust this round but we were talking about getting a group together. I mentioned wanting to bring in Ron and Draco and he mentioned Pomfrey so I think that is going to be a pretty solid group moving forward.

Chances are there already is a group and I wouldn't even be surprised if people like Pomfrey and Ron were working together already, but even if they are at least this is a good way to get in with them. I'm excited to finally be talking game with someone because this is the first time all game really outside of some offhand comments I made with Mira and Lockhart at the start. I actually still really like Lockhart and wish I could have mentioned his name but I think the way he rubs people means that if I associate myself with him publicly too much there is going to be a problem.

Plus, Ron was very open about not liking him because he said he had sex with our mom or something. Can't really defend that one!!!!
