I'm slowly cobbling together this opening statement but it's taking more time than I have today!

This is the last thing I added but this is also my thesis statement.

I'm sitting around refreshing my opening statement post so it looks like people are more interested in what I have to say.

That's one part mob psychology because people flock to the kid perceived as popular

And one part emotional warfare cause Ron and Draco can get discouraged if all signs point to them being afterthoughts (especially draco)

Woah after a good day one for Ron, he's kind of trashing himself in his answer to Cormac.

I didn't think I would be able to argue that I had a better social game than Ron but he's really concerned about his jury management and I was able to be pretty open about a lot of the votes so I don't think there's a lot of bitterness aimed at me

What I know now that is changing that is that Mira’s item was fake(vote swapper). My other thing is the lack of respect I have from the jury. I did not think my gameplay was going to hurt people as much as it seemed to have, and been misunderstood.

Seeing Amos' jury statement is very relieving. When I stopped talking him I was basically gambling that it would help me get to FTC to not be social with him and I wouldn't need his vote to win if I got to the end. So I never expected I would need his vote to be competitive at FTC and the fact that he seems to be leaning towards me is a somewhat unexpected positive.

Here's something you can look at and laugh when I lose 9-0

The currently voting for me as long as I don't fuck up and call them Hitler in my closing statement category:
Lockhart (I was always convinced I knew what I could tell him at FTC to win his vote, and according to him I did)
Fred

The definitely leaning towards me category:
Cormac

The leaning towards me but I have work left to do category:
Angelina (waiting to see how she reacts to my answer to her question when she gets online)
Amos (need to give my answer to his question)
Maxime (need to give a good answer to this question)

I want to give a pretty aggressive answer to Maxime's question because Ron claiming to have more influence than Draco and me combined is ridiculous. I'm pretty sure it's just bait and he wants to get into a fight for credit that might not benefit me right now. But I also can't cede the argument so I need to push back at least a bit.

Earlier at this FTC I was deliberately trying to throw Ron off and get under his skin and I think I've benefitted from Ron getting grumpy. But the more I egg him on now, the more likely he starts swinging for the fences with more aggressive claims.

Lily and Pomfrey may also be looking for a more likeable, positive choice - I don't think I necessarily need to take the high road, but I need to take a higher road than Ron does.

I'm so drained rn I need to survive this last answer but I also need to do it justice

I'm actually still really stressed about all this, but Zardulu seems like a cocky mf and I need to stay in character for another day.

I'm kind of not here for Draco continuing to suggest it's not kosher for finalists to respond to other finalists at an FTC. Does he not watch the show? I'm not sure what FTC is if not a debate.

Really high strung and insecure rn though. I thought it would be calming to have answered all the questions but it's the opposite. It feels out of my control now and I don't cope well with being powerless

Trying to remind myself that I only need Lockhart, Angelina, Amos, Fred and Cormac to win.

And trying to remind myself that none of the jurors really criticized my game at all. I figured at least Amos would. Hoping there's some pretty powerful groupthink over in Ponderosa.
