Alright, so it's time to recap last round's crazy vote as best I can. So, as I've made it clear in the past, I have identified Caleb as a huge threat for many rounds, and have attempted to get him booted on multiple occasions, but sadly the timing wasn't right. Finally, yesterday, everything came together harmoniously, and I couldn't be happier. Leading up to last round, Caleb was talking about how he wanted to blindside Sue at final 8, because she had an idol, and I guess he didn't want that prize clogging up the works anymore. ANYWAY, Rob, Matty, and Kelly were on board with his plan, and I was kinda like naahhhhh let's shake things up a bit more. I was quite tired of Caleb getting his way every damn round. So, even though Rob initially advised against it, I told Sue straight up that Caleb was targeting her and that we should figure out some alternate plan. Then, I spoke to Rudy and discovered that he was PISSED at Caleb for targeting Sue and going against him, even though I guess those two had made a final tribal pact during the first days of competition. So things are starting to heat up, and Kelly/Matty/Rob are all chatting in our alliance chat about how we maybe should blindside Caleb instead, because he is in everyone's business. Then we made a new alliance chat with Rudy added, in addition to us four. We were discussing all of the things that Caleb does that sketch us out, and recognized that he has been essentially playing us all against each other. He was the puppetmaster, and it was time to cut the strings.
So we are discussing the logistics of the plan, and determine that we want to flush Sue's idol as well, so we came up with this complicated scheme about how to split the vote, with a bunch of votes going on Sue, to force the idol play, and then the next highest amount going on Caleb, with a backup vote on Sekou in case Caleb also had an idol. So, we are figuring all of this out, and Caleb comes back online, and he is PARANOID AS HELL. He starts freaking out and trying to reconfirm the Sue blindside plan with everyone, saying "Is everything still good??" and we are all trying to make up stories that sound somewhat consistent, so that in case he does have an idol, he wouldn't play it. Matty specifically tried to calm him down, and I think it had worked because eventually he chilled out. But he was really losing his cool. He asked me to fake a conversation with Matty with me saying that I was targeting Sekou (ironically I ended up voting for him lol), so that Matty could post this conversation in Caleb's alliance chat, in order to make Sue feel safe, so that she wouldn't play her idol. So the entire time, Caleb is expecting Sue to NOT play her idol, and get like 5/6 votes against her. He was thinking that Sue would play her idol and then take out Kelly, who was an initial target. But all the while, the rest of us are exposing Caleb's lies and deceptions and rearranging the vote accordingly. I even got Sekou on board, and convinced Sekou that Caleb didn't trust him. It was great fun lol. I was frantically typing on my iPhone AIM app, alternating between like five group chats and a bunch of personal conversations, trying to keep stories straight and ensure that everything went off without a hitch. And ultimately, it did. Caleb was blindsided, Sue's idol was flushed, and I was just grinning like an idiot. It was an amazing play. I just wish I didn't volunteer to vote Sekou as a backup, because I never got the satisfaction of voting out Caleb officially for revenge. :( That vote was for Crystal, Jonas, JP, and Stacy! And I guess Rupert too. I think ultimately Caleb had his hand in too many pots and we caught him. It was VERY apparent that Caleb was willing to use all of us for his gain, and that perception is deadly in this game. We all realized it through the plays he tried to make. The amount of information and drama that happened yesterday was probably the most I've ever seen during a single ORG tribal council, and it was glorious to be privy to all of this insider information. I loved it.
- Kelly - My Decades soulmate. I love her so much, and she is a huge Ellie Goulding fan too, so she's amazing. I want to get to the end with her and I feel like I can confide anything in her. She's loyal, heroic, and just wonderful.
- Matty - Another star. I love him. I think he's either Grant (Host Austin from Warriors) or Aaron (Phillip from GVE/Benry from Warriors), which means he's a great person outside of this game too haha. NOW I will say that he is playing an amazing game. He has great social connections and knowledge, and it would be risky to take to him to the end. The question right now is: does he really want to go to the end with ME? Then I can work from there.
- Rob - Part of the core Myers three. Rob is a really sweet guy at his core, even if he can be very aggressive and over the top at times. He has been going through some crazy personal situations during this game, and I respect him a lot. He is a great strategist and I think he has my best interests in mind to get to the FTC. However, he is becoming a bigger threat each round. He has a nullifier which Rudy now knows about, so I am worried that he could be targeted. I also think his strategic resume is pretty strong, so I would consider cutting him at the final 4.
- Rudy - Rudy is one of my favorite characters ever in an ORG. His conversations make my day, and I really enjoy his presence in the game. HOWEVER, Rudy is SO much smarter than the schtick he hides behind, and he has a finger on the pulse of this game. I also think he might have an idol; he seems like the type. If Rudy gets to the FTC, he wins, I think... so that can't happen.
- Sekou - Who?
- Sue - Sue is an odd player. She is great at challenges and idol finding, and has now been immune for three of the last four tribals, technically. But her social and strategic games seem basically nonexistent. It's so hard to talk to her, and I have tried for the past two weeks to very little success!! I hope she would be the next to go (after Sekou this round probably), barring another immunity win. She's just someone I can't work with.
So, what should have been a simple vote has now gotten very dangerous, and I have a bad feeling that the result is not going to work in my favor. Originally, the plan was to take out Sekou in a 6-1, but Rob got overzealous and suggested Rudy instead, which honestly DOES make a lot of sense because he is a huge jury threat. However, the problem is multi-fold: (1) Rudy might be very likely to have an idol, (2) I'm not really sold on Matty as on board with the Myers alliance. The second one might be the bigger problem, because that would mean we are in the minority anyways, having put a lot of eggs into Matty's basket. I am trying to talk to Matty right now and confirm that Rudy is the voting target, but he is acting really vague and it is putting up a lot of red flags for me. He won't directly say that Rudy is who he voted for... nor will he directly say that I'm NOT going home tonight. Meanwhile Sekou is like "oh yeah I heard your name going around!" and I'm just like "I heard yours too!" Sekou is so boring and I wish I got rid of him over Drew honestly.
The vote, in theory, should be 4 votes Rudy, 2 votes Rob, and 1 vote Sekou (from Rudy), but I'm just not at ease right now.
