Every time Erik posts in my confessional it's just another reminder to neg him.

Having Rudy recount me the tale of Twisted Canada and "the idiot who burned him for no reason" without the names and faces is always a fun time.

So, a bit of chatter here and there, but so far it's been a pretty quiet round. I've been going around trying to rebuild my relations with the Myers crew, and I'm sure they hold some reservations about me after last vote, but I think as they see it right now, I'm operating on the same wavelength as them. Like, the last vote was kinda shady, but one time a pattern does not make. But I know that this type of playing multiple sides can't hold forever - sooner or later something's gotta break. Until that point, I need to get enough social equity to gain some advantageous positioning within the greater social structures of the tribe.

Man, that was a whole bunch of big words to describe a fucking online Survivor game, I'm a very intelligent and classy person.

Rob messaged me, and told me to handle the vote while he was gone, because he had some real life issues he had to work through. So, provided I don’t target someone from the Contra / Myers grouping,hopefully he’ll just take that at face value, like he did with the “Sue” vote last round.

This round, my target is Jonas. I’m angling to make them a 1-2 punch, because the momentum is going in that direction anyway, and I see no reason to dispute it. It also works if I can convince the other grouping to go with it, and maybe get a few votes thrown at like Stacy to avoid a possible idol play, if the votes come together that way. But I feel somewhat comfortable about not being their target - at this point, I don’t feel like there’s enough distrust in my reputation to warrant an idol play against me specifically. And hey, if I feel uneasy, I always have that idol - although as the game goes on, the likelihood of me going home with it seems like an inevitability.

To get into more specifics, booting Jonas gives me the most options next round. Next round will be a decisive one, for better or worse, and maximizing my capital there is ideal - if Jonas leaves, I’ll be aligned with everyone left, to some extent. I’ll have to choose a side, but ideally that’ll leave me off the radar til Final 9, and I feel comfortable with my options from that point - I could certainly go out there, or anytime afterwards, but that’ll come down to my ability to acquire trust and wheel and deal.

I had a really good talk with Rudy tonight. I feel really confident in him, and if he’s gonna backstab me, it’s gonna be HARD, haha. I’m keeping an eye on him, since he probably has an idol (that I might confront him about sometime soon) and is crafty, but I honestly think he’s on the same page as me, at least until mid-to-endgame. We operate in a similar fashion (form a core, then form tertiary alliances to protect that core) and I feel like we have similar reads, which is always invaluable in these types of game.

It’s kinda quiet besides that, which worries me - Sekou is not a lock by any means, and I have reservations about Sue and Rupert as well. I’m always convinced I’m about to get blindsided, because I’m an egotistical fuck and think games revolve around me - it’s times like this I need to step back, take a deep breath, and analyze the landscape of the game and the motivations of the people in it logically. Underestimating people and their capacity to game, when we’re all superfans, is the first step to being blindsided.

*Sigh* Welp, putting an unknown idol into the mix makes this more difficult for me.

Yup, this cast is too active for a quiet round. Should've known as much. Stacy got wind of the Jonas plan, now she's campaigning HARD to save him. Hell Jonas even said Stacy has an idol, and we have no idea if its a bluff or not. So right now the vote could go on a bunch of people. More details when (if) I survive this vote, but suffice to say, I'm glad I didn't make a parchment yet.

Kelly is making a hard pitch at me to shift the game. And it WOULD make a ton of sense, if I wasn't in the power structures - shaking the game up now is BAD BAD BAD for me. I feel like she might have the new idol or something, so obviously there's some worry there. But if she's making this pitch to ME, rather than someone else, unless she's super frustrated with me, I don't think I'd be the target of that sort of plan. God willing, anyway.

My instinct is SCREAMING at me, something's up. I don't think the plans going through, something's changing. But I don't know how to handle it - I could idol, but I feel like there's little reason for them to target ME specifically. UGH THIS IS FRUSTRATING.
