Ceejae is the only one missing the Atropos call, Amberly is the only one missing from the Clotho call... that might spell danger for them right off the bat

I accidentally took a screenshot of the Atropos call somehow but I managed to capture a great freeze frame

Atropos has surprised me in a good way, the other calls have people grasping at straws for stuff to talk about but these guys have been having great natural conversation. Jenn, Naomi, Chris and Anders are all doing a great job of bonding on call

Each of the calls seems to have started to relax and get away from the awkwardness which is very nice. I can't wait for the confessionals to come in and see people's thoughts on their tribemates, this is looking like it'll be a great season already!

I watched Alex's little pre game confessional he posted tonight, and was happy he brought up falling for someone in a past org because its my biggest criticism of him as a player.
He and I have the most history of anyone in the cast because we played two seasons of an org together (In like 2009 and like 2013 ITS BEEN A MINUTE). Both times I played with Alex A. We didn't really get along, and B. He declared like/love for another cast member and basically threw his game away for them.
My second org experience with Alex was significantly better than my first and we had a really really good heartfelt conversation the day he was voted out. He even voted for me to win that game so I guess we came full circle. I'm not sure of the type of player he is now, but I hope for his sake he can separate personal relationships from strategy because he has all the qualities to win, and I'd love to see him be successful in Endure. |
I watched his pre-game confessional too, I don't understand why he keeps saying he's not a very likeable person?? He's one of my favs! I definitely agree with you though, he's going to need to separate the game from the relationships he makes if he wants to have a chance at the win.

THOTS AFTER NIGHT 1
Woo night one was a big success, lots of great calls going on! Here's some of my thots on people after last night and after watching some early confessionals.
Clotho Tribe
|
AMBERLY
Amberly did not make an appearance last night, apparently she was too nervous to go on the main tribe call. Not a great first impression, hopefully she overcomes those jitters quick or she's probably gonna find herself in danger right off the bat.
DEVON
I personally am a fan of Devon. Him saying he didn't want a girl in final 2 was yikes, but I'm not gonna get hung up on that. On call he did a good job of talking enough to not be forgotten but letting others remain the center of attention. My fear is that he's going to overplay in these first few rounds, paint a target on his back, and be booted earlier than desired.
AARON
I think Aaron is someone who is emerging as somewhat of a leader on this tribe. He was a central part og the initial tribe call, and he was able to use his prior ORG experiences to help guide some of the people with less experience. On top of that, he's got some connections on this tribe both good and bad, so if any move gets made against him I think we'll see an interesting divide form on this tribe.
JESSACA
I think Jessaca already has herself in a great spot on this tribe. She was decently active on the tribe call, and I think for the most part nobody is worrying about her. As long as she doesn't do anything to put a target on her back I think she's golden.
LEXI
Lexi was initially worried when she saw she was on a tribe with Aaron due to their past experiences. I think she was smart to confess right away that she's a returning player because I think people will end up putting two and two together eventually anyways. I think she still could be in a bit of danger in these early rounds and she needs to try and cement some solid connections if she wants some longevity this time around.
DANNY
Danny pleasantly surprised me last night! He's goofy in a fun way, and while he was very chatty I don't think it was in an obnoxious way. Devon and Danny potentially working together as a duo potentially could lead to some messy fun, I could easily see them playing super hard. I think for longevity they need to lock down another person to be on their side before they can really make a move, otherwise any scheming they do could easily make them the early targets.

Lachesis Tribe
|
BRYCE
I was apprehensive when it took Bryce a fair amount of time to get on the initial call, but once he was there he was super charming and likeable, and I think he's already got himself off to a great start! I would love to see him work with Matthew and Sarena, I think those three have a good chemistry and could really take some charge in this game.
ABBY
Abby was a hoot last night! I think she was a big part in helping relieve awkward moments on the call for this tribe, she seems like a lot of fun and I think she could work a really great social game! She doesn't come across as threatening, I don't think I see her being a target, but I also don't see her calling the shots on the tribe either.
JACK
Jack was another person late to the call and he was a lot quieter than Bryce, so I don't know if he's quite been able to work himself into a strong early position on this tribe. I think his tribemates aren't 100% sure what to make of him, which is no bueno once people get paranoid and start looking for people they have a good read on. I don't think he's going to be the first to go if these guys lose, but I do think he needs to get to work on making some more bonds.
KAIT
I absolutely adore Kait, but I'm super worried that she's going to be the one in danger first if Lachesis heads to tribal. There's a lot of louder people on this tribe and she is generally quieter, which I think scares some of her tribemates. I hope she can turn their opinions around and work hard to show the great qualities she could bring to the tribe.
MATTHEW
Matthew was the most active male on the call last night. Sarena mentioned that he sounds just like Kilby which might be where her hesitation to work with him stems from, but I think he did a good job of being charismatic and sociable and got himself into a good position on the tribe. I also like that he's got a distinct facial hair style just like I did back when I played.
SARENA
Her confessional reminded me exactly why I missed her after she was voted off last season. She's a hoot! She was very sociable and likeable on the call last night. I don't understand why she's keeping her returnee status a secret. She even mentioned herself that anyone who looks at the season 6 board will be able to figure out this isn't her first go at Endure! Nonetheless, she's already working the social game very well and I think she's off to a decent start in changing her fate from the last time.

Atropos Tribe

ANDERS
Anders was fantastic on the initial call, and I've already got high hopes for a better fate for him this time around. People generally like him, and he's already gotten to work trying to solidify some numbers on his side. He was talking in his prod chat about what he did wrong last time that he wants to avoid doing this time (i.e. counting people out) and if he can keep an introspective look into his own game this time, I think he could do better. Also, this time around I think he's on a tribe that suits him moreso than last season.
ALEX
I absolutely love Alex's enthusiasm to play this game! I was a little nervous pre-season that he'd be very busy and that might affect things, but he's eager to get playing and has already got like three video confessionals in. It sucks he kept having to leave the call last night, and the fact he and Anders are already separating from each other makes me a little nervous. Regardless I'm rooting for him (although I'm probably biased since he started a fan club for me in season 2 :P )
CEEJAE
Ceejae didn't appear really until the tribe call had ended, since she was in a Quidditch tournament. I think she'll be able to bounce right into things, but now that she's back it'll make me a lot sadder if Atropos has to go to tribal and lose someone :(
CHRIS
Chris is doing great, just like I thought he would! Everbody seems to like him, a few people have already expressed interest in working with him (i.e. Anders and Naomi), and I think he did a great job of not coming across too threatening to the others on his tribe. I hope he keeps up the good work!
NAOMI
Naomi was a pleasant surprise, I adore her! She was super talkative and was a bright beam of happiness last night. She's been getting along well with pretty much everyone and I think she's gonna do really well! I just hope people don't become offput by her talkativeness.
JENN
In my opinion Jenn was doing good last night, she was super friendly and talkative. Unfortunately I think she's already falling a little to the outside on this tribe, with some people not agreeing with some of her opinions and with Naomi not remembering her name right away. I could see her being someone that could be targeted early on this tribe unfortunately :(

Atropos is super interesting for me because I really like the Naomi/Anders/Chris dynamic, but sitting in on their cube challenge I'd totally be here for a Ceejae/Alex/Jenn thing too. SOS I really want this tribe to THRIVE because I couldn't stand to lose any of them (sorry other tribes y'all are cool too)

Jenn and Anders are having a call discussing Ceejae. Sounds like they both want a Ceejae boot

MY TOP 5 STANDOUTS OF EPISODE 1
The season has begun, and we've had a great first round! I'm thinking I'm gonna try something new this season and create a list of the top 5 people who stood out to me each round as people to watch. This doesn't necessarily correlate with who is my favourites although there could be some crossover, but instead serves as the people who deserve some recognition for the role they played in this episode. Enjoy!
#1: CHRIS
Chris has definitely been my top standout player for the first round. Amidst the chaos of tribe dynamics on Atropos, Chris has landed himself in probably the best spot on that tribe. Nobody seems to be targeting him and everyone minus Jenn wants to work alongside him. He's been entertaining to watch through and through. With the Atropos tribal council coming up tonight, Chris is probably the least likely person to be sent home and that's the ideal for anyone in the game of survivor.
#2: DANNY
Probably a little surprising to anyone reading this (and myself tbh), Danny has been a top standout this week for me. He seems to have gotten himself into a good spot on Clotho, connecting with a good array of people that will be very helpful in keeping any target off his back. He's connected with Jessaca, especially with the challenge, which is a key connection as Jessaca herself has some influence with players Danny isn't as well connected to and could dissuade them from targeting him. He's also worked on his relationship with Lexi who has kind of fallen to the sidelines on the tribe, meaning Danny could get an extra number to vote the way he wants if he decides to take charge at a Clotho tribal council. Pre-season I thought he'd be more of a mess but I think he's doing surprisingly well right off the bat.
#3: NAOMI
Naomi stands out to me less due to gameplay, as she's on the radar for some of her tribemates and did not perform the greatest in the challenge, and more due to being one of the most likeable and entertaining people to watch in Episode 1. She was a major reason why the Atropos night 1 call was so entertaining and avoided a lot of the awkwardness that was prevalent on the other tribes' night 1 calls. Her confessionals are always a hoot to watch, any call she gets on is gripping and interesting to sit in on. In these early days she's proven to be an incredible casting choice and someone people will have no problem rooting for in this game.
#4: SARENA
Of our returnees, Sarena has impressed me probably the most for getting herself into a position where she's not in any immediate danger of being sent home on Lachesis. She's worked hard to establish a strong alliance with Bryce and Matthew while also finding herself getting thrown into a group with Kait and Abby. People like her and want to work with her, and she has yet to make any big enemies that are starting to set their sights on her, unlike Lexi on the outs and Anders butting heads with Alex. On top of this, her confessionals are extremely entertaining to watch and definitely worth watching.
#5: JESSACA
Jessaca round out my top 5 round 1 standouts because she's worked her way into being a central member of the Clotho tribe. On one hand she's got some connections to Amberly and Aaron, on another she's got her connection to Devon going to the same school, and on a third hand (I guess she has three hands) she's got Danny who could in turn influence Lexi. She's covered her bases very well and I think she's someone we'll all be watching in the coming rounds.
Some honourable mentions:
Bryce and Matthew, in their alliance with Sarena, have been a fun watch. They're in decent positions on the tribe, with Bryce maybe slightly more secure than Matthew, but I could easily see this alliance taking control early on the Lachesis tribe. Alex has provided a lot of good content in his confessionals and has worked hard with the members of his tribe (minus Naomi), and could probably do well if he just learned to have confidence in his gut and not go crazy and push too hard too fast.
