What a perfect tribal though. Aaron delivers a final blow which is going to cause a ripple in this alliance of Lexi/Devon/Danny and blow it up; #RogueJess is itching to go on a killstreak, and all of this is birthed from Anders' affinity for furries.
What. An. Episode. Clotho losing was so great as everything is just debris over there and with the upcoming round it's going to be very interesting to see how much more disastrous this tribe is going to become.
The saddest (maybe funniest) thing is, if Aaron has just tried a little more in the challenge, chances are Clotho would have won and he could have made it to the swap
Devon doesn't get this game. Hot take maybe, but I don't think he does.
Devon on call just said that Jess telling Aaron was an "emotional decision" and "proof that she couldn't have been told".
She got immunity for telling him after you did the wildest last minute rush I've ever seen?
I think it comes down to Devon wants to work with Jess, notices the chemistry, and could not let her be in the power position for his own ego right now. Losing Lexi would have suited him so much better than voting Aaron -- Danny, I love him, but right now strategically is a nonfactor in so many people's minds. He's loyal and a vote, but Jess has such a pulse on the game socially and strategically. She's stubborn and dead set on avenging this betrayal and is going to cause him much more trouble than Danny in the long term. Devon made an emotional, and stupid decision telling Jess. He should have had the balls to go to Jess and say Aaron's going and that's that -- the five minutes before and insulting her intelligence is worse than a complete blindside... oh and if it wasn't a complete blindside Lexi would be safe right now. Oops. Messy af.
aaaa i've been busy and haven't been able to keep up the last few days!! thank you guys for detailing the happenings because it's helping me follow along
i honestly don't think jess getting immunity is a bad thing for Devon.. lol. Cause I don't know if Danny would vote out Devon if it came down to it, I think he'd just settle for Lexi.
If anyone hasn't watched tribal, I suggest going to watch it on the board and watch the reactions of Lexi, Devon and Danny when the vote for Jess is revealed and not Lexi.
Oh my god, a lot of drama before the vote. Basically as mentioned above, Danny, Devon & Lexi decided to cue Jessaca onto the vote 10 minutes before Tribal Council. They planned to pretend to her that this was a last minute thing and start with a call between Devon & Danny, before adding Jessaca and then Lexi. Here is them planning this charade:
Okay, so then they try to do it and it kind of goes to shit. Enjoy Jessaca blowing up at them, them not getting to add Lexi, and Danny's amazing acting performance telling Jessaca that "We JUST got on call five minutes ago 😇" a bunch of times. Recorded in two parts.
It's worth noting that this backfired and Aaron voted for Jessaca on the way out, and now she has Immunity instead of Lexi.
Here's the aforementioned backfired plan. Along with some of the fallout.
That group of three just needed to commit to a decision. Either tell Jess as soon as you've nailed down a plan OR don't tell her at all and blindside her (IMO I would have done the latter although the former could potentially soften the blow for a potential swap).
Happy to see Aaron go. He didn't really put in that much effort it seems, and no one likes to see someone rewarded for minimal effort so good riddance.
I think the problem for Devon, Danny, and to a lesser extent Lexi now is that Jess is out for blood. I could see her having zero loyalty to any of the three of them moving forward which is never good for an upcoming swap.
Aaron received much fanfare after his boot from the cast. Alex Rico, Jenn, and Anders are all upset that he's gone and would have flirted the idea of working alongside of him. It's good from a cast perspective as Aaron was, definitely, the one with the most ties and it keeps the game opened up but at the same time it's just really bad luck for Aaron who, as expressed, was a couple of hours more effort in the last challenge from finding himself safe and heading into a swap with a helluva better position than he was in Clotho.
