anders: okay we're a fan of everything survivor: maryland. anders is a cool dude i didn't really follow season 6 very much but i know he was like.....not that good. hopefully he's better because i can only date people who make the merge.
lexi: whew i know she didn't get to do much of anything in s5 so im pumped to see her play because when she's good she's amazing. we stan.
sarena: idk her but apparently she's a #queen so im rooting for her

Super excited for these three returnees. All three were arguably robbed in their respective seasons/tribes. Anders definitely played himself. Sarena just drew the short end of the stick when Kilby flipped on her and Jacob. Lexi got the unfortunate consequence of being tethered to Ruben. I'm curious to see who among them will be able to prove they're better than their initial placements. My predictions are Anders will still self destruct, Sarena will hopefully go deep and Lexi I'd say middle of the game?

I have never seen Anders play so that will be interesting. I do not know much about him
Lexi: OH my god I love Lexi, I think she can really shine without Ruben. She is a really good play that a lot of people underestimate, which could really help her. People seem to see Ruben as the superior player between the two, and don't realize Lexi can become a huge threat. I see her easily making jury. If not further.
Sarena: I've heard only good things about her. I'm excited to see her play and see why people like her so much!

OHHH returnees I'm here for it.
Anders: We were on different tribes our season and he left like second so I don't know anything about him from personal experience, but the feedback I got from others on his tribe when we merged was that he was kind of rude and kind of arrogant? Considering his experience was so recent I'm hoping he's conscious of this and tries to change his approach.
Lexi: I don't remember her doing much of anything her first season. I also played a facebook game with her like 2 years ago and she literally didn't do anything in that game either (there were 42 people to start though so like lets be real its hard to have any impact). I've heard shes good when she applies herself so hopefully she doesn't take the second chance for granted.
Sarena: I loved playing with Sarena last season. Our first immunity I had to direct her in a puzzle where she was blindfolded for TWO FUCKING HOURS (i think?) and her patience and encouragement was flawless. She's positive and a team player, and AMAZING socially. She would check in on me everyday and just chat even if it was about stuff not game related. Looking back shes like this quiet assassin because in game I loved her, but seeing her confessionals and interviews post game, I thought she kind of came across a little rude and nasty so she was flawless at hiding that side of her as well. Her downfall was probably being on a tribe with some people who recognized her immediately as a huge threat and possibly knew of her reputation as a successful player? If she's on a tribe with people who aren't familiar with her she will do amazing.

okay two pre-jurors from season six and i'm not one of them and my mailbox is empty wow wig okay
in all seriousness, having been one of the people that voted anders out, i think he knows exactly where he fucked up and won't make the same mistake again. his early alliance was very, very obvious. i expect him to play a better social game, i think the smaller tribe might help him do that. heaven forbid if anyone is there to get on his nerves though like mike did. but i think he will fake his way thru it, he is going to fight very very hard to better his placement. but the mere fact he is a returnee and has the survivor maryland stuff could hurt him depending on who is on that tribe.
lexi hard to have opinions on as i didn't absorb a lot from the seasons before i played but season 5 was a while ago at this point (season 6 was a bit of a break after 5) and so i think she's least in jeopardy of her returnee status hurting her.
the minute you said returnees i knew sarena would be one of them. i wasn't even on her tribe but i know she had quality confessionals. however, she's even more recognizable than before thanks to this game, sequester, etc so she may be in a similar danger of her tribe simply wanting to cut her lose as a returnee and known power player. but i'm rooting for her

Alrighty! So I have no idea who Lexi is, but I adore both of my fellow Penumbra alumni. I think they're great picks for returnees. Here are my pre-game thots for all of you to enjoy:
SARENA
Irrelevant, but Sarena's silhouette makes her look exactly like Zoya the Destroya from GLOW. 💕
So I obviously was able to play with Sarena on Utren last season, and then got a chance to watch the season back from the Prediction Writer's perspective. It's pretty cut and dry that she was taken waaay before her time, and I even think we all kind of knew that in the moment too. She was mostly a victim of #Kilby to the point where a lot of what she did was scrutinised to the nth degree and she never really got the warning shot to be able to recognise her position and fix it on the fly. I do think she made the mistake of hitching her wagon to a trainwreck (Jacob) prematurely, and then with him made a few too many scattered group chats that got back to people. Even so, she was in a position where Jacob would've totally taken the fall before her, but Utren avoided Tribal Council for so many rounds that by the time we actually got to Tribal the idea of taking him out was so played out and boring that taking out the clear bigger threat in Sarena was what ended up being settled on. It was a pretty brutal blindside and had we gone to Tribal in any of the rounds prior I'm sure she would've been all sweet.
Sarena is obviously funny and endlessly charming, but I don't know, it's a little bit to a detriment in this kind of game? Like, she's so likeable that it's almost intimidating? While I think that she'll be able to make the merge no problem, I think that might be her ceiling? I have her pegged as an early juror just because I don't know if anybody would be dumb enough to let her get to the Final Tribal Council where barring some drastic turn of events, she'd probably sweep up. I'm excited for Sarena to get another shot at Endure though and hope she does way, way better.
ANDERS
I'm still very much not over the fact that Anders and I weren't sorted onto the same tribe during Penumbra, so hosting him in this season will have to do! I don't know him as well as I know Sarena, but my assessment of him is that I think he's holding himself back. I don't even know if I'd have the advice to help him fix it, but like, you just take one look at him and his mannerisms and just how intensely he talks about the game and all of a sudden you see sirens and "THREAT. THREAT. THREAT" flashing in front of you. And fuck if I know how to control that.
In a normal season I would actually probably advise Anders to just like, lose straight away and go to Tribal! He makes a good first impression and I don't think he'd ever really wind up being the first boot, but he for is the like, epitome of the exact kind of person I could see a tribe take out if they get restless after a bunch of back-to-back wins and need a juicy target. Losing quicksmart gets Anders' foot in the door and y'all can take out whoever the easy vote is in the meantime. But just like... being the sole returnee on his tribe would possibly put him in that "easy vote" realm so I don't know if I would risk it.
I'm gonna take a stab and predict that Anders might crash and burn again. It'd be tragic! ... but probably still a spectacle nonetheless. I just hope that someone on his tribe is enough of a catastrophe to maybe divert the attention away from him.
LEXI
I don't know who this person is! And I haven't watched her Okanagan interview so she's really just a big question mark for me. The one thing I do know about her though is that her and her Blood vs. Water partner were apparently the first two boots in her season? That is the best shit I've ever heard of and I'd feel really badly for the both of them if it just wasn't so funny. Even though all three of these returnees went out early, she's the only one of them to be a true "first boot". I'd worry about her losing the very first challenge because there is for sure an urge to just Francesca someone out of two different seasons. I don't want to see Lexi's Endure fate be that bleak so please with Immunity Clotho! 🙏

Well I don't know any of these returnees but excited to watch the season and see how it plays out, I like the concept of not knowing who you are playing with because then it cuts down on some of the pregame relationships unless you can figure out who someone is like people figured out the returnees. but with not knowing it makes it more like the real game.

Hey y’all,
So thoughts on the three....
Anders - idk him personally but he played really badly last season. Holli is one of my bff’s and she gives him a thumbs up but we shall see. I do feel he will leave early.
Sarena- maybe it’s the breast cancer awareness backdrop of this season, but I think this is the year of the woman. Sarena was hot shit her season and is new Alexis Nyers, in my book. I def loved her.
Lexi - Lexi has become an amazing friend of mine IRL. She plays well and is a really great person. I don’t throw around ‘robbed’ too often because I just don’t believe there’s situations that people can’t ‘get out of’....however Lexi (and Tyler P) are both people I would put in that category. Lexi left season 5 because of people’s distrust of her partner. It sucked (but it saved my boyfriend) but she can do much much better. Her season 5 showing, isn’t anywhere close to the caliber of player she can be. Though I will laugh at her forever if she goes home first again

I'm excited to see all three of these people play again. I think they all fit the mold of being voted out much earlier than anyone expected so I'm excited to see if they can exceed expectations this time around.
Anders - he came into last season playing way too hard, way too fast. I think his main issue was that he for some reason thought that everyone was only talking to him and no one else. He's definitely gonna have to slow his roll if he wants to make it far and I think he's definitely smart and charming enough to do so, but if he can't then it'll definitely be entertaining to see him selfdestruct early on once again. I predict he'll be pre-merge, but I'm hoping I'm wrong because he is super entertaining and overall a great character to have.
Lexi - when we were throwing around the idea of who to ask back, Lexi was one of the people I immediately thought about. Was it partially so that she'd forgive me for voting her out last time? Maybe. But I do think she fits the mold 100% of what we were looking for in returnees. Before Okanagan, I believe she had the repudiation of being one of the best UTR players around and I'm curious to see if that happens here. She hasn't played anything since that game I believe, and she's super excited to give this another shot because she wants to beat Ruben's placement from season 2. I think she'll go far, she just needs to open up a little more. That was her problem in season 5 in my opinion, she was the person that talked to me the least and I just felt worse with her than anyone else. Hopefully she can start out strong and get herself into a group because if she can, I see her going far. I predict late jury for her.
Sarena - Sarena was fucked last season because of her play style. That's not a bad thing at all, it's more of a compliment if anything. She's so god damn charming and likable that she makes you want to drop your whole game and be her friend. I played Conquest with her and our first chat wasn't until the first round of the merge and that's exactly how I felt and that's why she had to go. I'm super excited to see her play again and I think she's played enough games now to know where she needs to improve. She's very smart, very funny and overall a really good player. I don't think anyone will let her get near the end, but I do think she'll make early jury at least.

Returnees:
Anders--From a purely selfish entertainment standpoint, I hope Anders flames out even more spectacularly this time around...but from a humane view, I want to see him do well. He obviously brings a ton of passion and energy into the game, and I hope that doesn't change in season 7. If Anders plays more under the radar pre-merge and then turns it on post-merge, I don't see why he can't have a Jay-type run to the end.
Lexi--I'm huge a fan Ruben, and so I feel obliged to root for Lexi by association. Always heard there was a lot of untapped potential from Lexi in season 5...I guess we'll see...
Sarena--In season 6, I thought it was a brilliant move (by Kilby/Jayden..idr) to get rid of Sarena early. She's like too good--too likable and too smart--which is immediately threatening (though great in the game of LIFE-tm).
Obviously Sarena is a quote machine in confessionals, though from a game POV I would like to see her link up with another big social-strategic threat early and really take control.

Returnee's
Anders- So i dont know anders personally but I have heard a lot about him and know of him. I was upset to see him cut early last season and that I did not get the opportunity to get to know him. I know he knows the game and it will be fun to watch him play from this side of things.
Lexi- I LOVE LEXI. I am super excited to watch her play this game "in the dark" what i know of lexi she gets a lot of bad credit from ruben so i am excited to watch her play a game that does not include him and seeing what she can do alone. She normally will play very UTR at first and seeing her doing that as a captain or whatever capacity that can be will be fun to watch.
Serena- Serena i played with last season and all I can say is MESSY MESSY MESSY. If she is going to turn her game around she has to keep her game in check her head down low and not be so all over the place from what i learned abour her paranoia can get the best of her
