I was hoping Jess would end up on the other tribe because I was afraid of her and Rico instantly working together and it looks like that's what's going to happen.
Chris mentioned being alone because everyone else has pregame connections but I think that's a stretch and hardly the case. The only true pregame connection on that tribe is Alex and Jessaca which could end up helping Chris anyway. If he has that attitude then he's gonna have a tough time | |

Chris' little note in his confessional about feeling like everyone is just reaching out to their pre-game connections spoke to me hard, because it's exactly what I felt at the merge of Penumbra and is part of the reason I tanked my game.
I disagree with Vic that the only true pre-game connection is Alejandro & Jessaca. There are soooo many more. Abby knows Alejandro. Sarena knows Danny. Alejandro knows Bryce. Matthew knows Jessaca. Anders knows Sarena. etc etc. Even if it's just "Oh, I know of you" -- having something to use to start off a conversation is all you need to be able to segue into strategy talks, which is gold when it's the early hours of a swap/merge and gaining information and allies is important. Granted you could also have like "Oh we live near each other!" or some other similarity to bond over quickly but it's harder to do.
I obviously freaked out in my season because I saw literally everyone in the game but me knowing multiple people on Vecher, and decided that in order to get onto my tribemates level, I had to give up a little information to really get conversation going otherwise I'd just be stuck in "Hi I'm from Australia" limbo for a few days while the others in the game talked strategy. Like, not knowing anyone kind of means you still have to go through the day or so of small talk before you are able to get into game stuff. It blew up totally (Thanks Dustin lol) and it's a huge part of the reason why I lost all footing in my alliance at the time.
I hope Chris can just sit on his hands for a day like I wish I did and not go and wreck himself. He's a much better player than I am so I have faith.

Here's a pastebin of the viewers lounge last night during the swap for any players reading this back in the future:

I consider a pregame connection an actual connection. If you know OF someone or have talked to them once or twice, that's not a pregame connection. | |

it gives you something to talk about though, if you know of each other, and helps skip the small talk. but yeah proper pregame connections where the players are going to ally every time seem pretty rare. | |

I am curious to see what happens on the larger tribe if they lose. I'd imagine all of original Clotho and Atropos are going to want to take a shot at original Lachesis but that would require Jess to forgive Danny and not be out for blood. That's going to be very interesting.
She's too smart of a player to not take that shot at a Lachesis and then just wait to take a shot at Danny though. | |

Clotho/Atropos coming together would be an interesting mix. I feel like they almost have to, unless risk allowing Lachesis to potentially run the game at merge. But the Clotho/Atropos crew has some combustible personalities, and I wonder if they can all mesh THAT easily...looking at you Danny, Anders, Scorned Jess....Chris and to an extend Alex Rico probably would need to be the glue that holds these people together.
That said, NuLachesis seems like the clear favorite to win immunity in the coming rounds, and barring a challenge throw or double tribal, I feel like they could get to merge relatively unscathed. NuLachesis also has a lot of the bigger personalities and more dynamic players, IMO, so I'm happy to watch Meleager burn to the crown (but, like, Devon and Kait can stay safe pls). | |

Jacks latest confessional is the first one I’ve watched for him and he actually seems chill af. Hopefully he can use this fake vote off as motivation to start kicking up. I can lowkey relate to that sometimes you’re just unaware and oblivious to the fact that the effort you’re putting in isn’t enough, And you just need a sign or reason to kick it up a notch. #teamjack |
Ya, I'm with you Jay.
Jack's confessional shows me that he has all the potential in the world to be an exciting player in this game, and dare I say, a darkhorse winner candidate. Narratively Jack reminds me of Alex last season, where Alex went from easy pre-merge fodder (and an awareness of that) to what should have been one of the most influential positions in the game. Alas, Alex just never really made a splash. I'm not sure about Jack's activity level, comparative to Alex in E6, but just from confessional Jack seems 100x more personable (sorry, Alex W., you won't see this tho).
Also for Jack, him/Devon/Jenn feels like a really natural threesome, given they all were at the bottom of their tribe and will likely bond over that (I think they'd get along anyway). | |

Devons latest confessional is just terrific. I haven't watched the videos he posted yet, but just basing it off of what he wrote, I'm here for the revenge story of Devon. | |

The thing is that Jack's confessionals are always OK and if your only window into this game was Jack's confessionals, you'd think he was playing a pretty average game and in no danger at all. There was this awesome disconnect between What Jack Thought and The Rest Of The Tribe that made it so interesting. I'm rooting for Jack too but I'm worried that he won't be able to concretize on what he was doing wrong. | |

Alex seeing Abby grow into a human being <3 I mean I guess she is just energy and spirit in human form.
Thinking that Danny and Jessaca are a package deal . . . ooh gurl
---
Thinking about Devon's buyback plan...I think he's too steeped in that, and I think he started the game in a weird place. Given how Jenn was voted out, I could see her beating Devon in this potential situation . . . which is maybe wishful thinking because I STAN Jenn. I think he just got really wrapped up in the "I WAS VOTED OUT" idea that it's going to put blinders on his game. Everyone makes mistakes, and I think when you do it's more important to wrap it up in pretty second-chance bows and finery rather than the most dire possibility. The other thing from the blueprint confessional is that it lacks Devon's usual awareness of how other people are thinking...it's very idealistic. But he is like the most exciting character and has swung from one end to the other (and maybe now back again), I'm here for it.
Naomi might be super doomed. Devon's plan includes her going, Jack wants to work with Devon, and Jenn wants to go for her.

I mean I would love to see new Lachesis head to tribal. By survivor strategy standards Clotho and Atropos have to come together to take out Lachesis. But Alex and anders don’t like each other. Danny and Jess are at odds. The usual control we see from Chris is plagued by self doubt. So it just isn’t going to happen lol | |

To add to this, Chris has said he’d want Danny out first as Danny is “too unpredictable” also he said Alejandro Thibks Danny was adorable which further solidified Chris wanting Danny out. Chris and Jess are supposed to go on call soon so will update if that happens | |
