Little rant about Utren tonight (I'd do Vecher too but their night can be summed up by this song.
I hate watching Jayden make a lot of bad moves during this time because I'm rooting for him hardcore to win. I think this round was too early to turn on Utren, I think it would've been better to take out a central Vecher first like Jay to break the tribal lines more first. Plus he definitely should not have revealed his own betrayal once Gibson gave him an opportunity to roll with things. To his credit, the middle man game he's gotten himself into is a tough game to play to begin with, but he definitely made mistakes tonight.
I also feel really bad for Harrison because he's getting a bunch of slack for this. Jenn and Joey don't believe him (partially bc he tried backtracking on how Jayden knew so much about the "I have concerns" group, but the rest of his story checked out). The guy is tired af trying to piece things together and Joey and Jenn are seeing this as him being a bad liar. His move now should be to go with Jayden but I think he's frustrated because he's being seen as Jayden's sidekick and he doesn't want that.
I will say though that the position Utren finds themselves in right now is absolutely their own design. A lot is fueled by Kilby's paranoia, but Jenn and Joey seemed to really buy into the things Kilby was saying. I also think they failed to really try and reach out to Vecher especially once they had the numbers advantage. They're gonna have their work cut out for them, i just gotta hope that we don't see a Pagonging.
Sidenote I could see Kurtis sooner than later making a move against Jayden Dustin or Jay because they're seeming very buddy-buddy these last few rounds and that might be threatening to his game. | |

THOTS ON EPISODE 10 THUS FAR
My grad is tomorrow morning so I'm not sure how much time I'll have later to do this, so we're getting it now!
RIP Kilby, welcome to the 11th place/first juror club. Take it from me, if there's a chance you're in danger and you have an idol, it's usually best to just play your idol. I learned that the hard way in G*nerations, and he's learned it the hard way now. Kilby was messy af but he kept things interesting, and I think we all need to thank him for his role in really helping to shatter the old tribal lines at merge with his departure (Jayden/Andrew's plan, but as a result of Kilby's own actions).
Okay now to move on to the final 10!
ALEX
|
I think Alex isn't really getting any credit for his own game. Granted, he's easily not one of the flashiest players and he hasn't been making many big moves, but I think people in the game are giving him even less credit than what he deserves. Because of this, I think he's going to make it deep but I think he's got his work cut out for him if he wants to have a shot at winning. He needs some challenge wins and a step-up in the social game to increase his standings. |
DUSTIN
|
I think that Dustin will be the first of the Vechers to leave this game. There is already discussion of trying to take out Jayden or Dustin with a counter-alliance of the people they have both screwed over. It would be beneficial if he was able to perceive this animosity, but I think the success of the last round is giving him room to get a bit more comfy and relax slightly. Rule number one is never get comfy, because that's when you get screwed. Hopefully he recognizes this and can bounce back. |
GIBSON
|
I am extremely impressed that Gibson was able to play up the self-vote thing so well that Kilby didn't play the idol. This should've been nails in the coffin for him and now I would be very surprised if he leaves in the next few rounds. An excellent move on his part, and I'm glad people are able to credit him for making it. Utren can't even be mad at him because they were about to send him packing! I hope he can keep this momentum going for the rest of the game. |
HARRISON
|
Jenn and Joey think this last round was worst for them, but I think Harrison is the one who has been most fucked over by the Kilby blindside. Jayden did him really dirty by telling the Utren that Harrison was his source of intel on Kilby and the "i have concerns" group. Now Jenn and Joey don't trust him, Vecher doesn't need him, Gibson knows he had been lying to him this whole time, and he's feeling too betrayed by Jayden to recognize that his best move is to go with Jayden at least for now. He's feeling very down on himself, I think he needs to turn this into motivation to take action and bounce back. |
JAY
|
Jay is playing an extremely dominant game and I'm very impressed with it, but I also think the better he plays, the worse his chances of getting to FTC are. He's very susceptible to people telling him that others are targeting him, and I think this will blind him to the threat of a player like Kurtis who is able to effectively push his own agenda. I think it will only be a matter of time before Kurtis ends up leading a charge against Jay. I could see him going somewhere between f6 and f4. |
JAYDEN
|
I have a real desire to sit Jayden down and tell him to fix the mess he's created for himself, because I don't think he sees it. It was such an amazing move on his part, but he screwed up in admitting to his deception when Gibson gave him an out. Now he's got both sides coming after him and I;m super sad about it :( I think he's also getting comfortable after that move, and I don't think he'll be able to see that he's in danger. |
JENN
|
Jenn is showing why she's worthy to win this game in the aftermath of that blindside. She got right to work on trying to work the crack in Vecher with Dustin, and it appears to be working. If that six person thing she was working on with Vecher actually works I'll be so impressed with her. We stan a legend! |
JOEY
|
I don't think I can envision Joey winning the game at this point. From this point forward I think he will be linked to Jenn, and in that duo I think people view Jenn as more of the leader. He's going to need to do a lot to catapult himself into a winner spot on top of trying to not seem so threatening as to be voted off in the next few rounds. He's going to have his work cut out for him unfortunately. |
KURTIS
|
I am honestly shocked that Kurtis does not have a bigger target on his back right now, it's extremely impressive! I think people see Kurtis as someone who would be able to win it all, but nobody is doing anything about it. He's playing this game so well right now, I truly think he is going to win the season. Keep it up Kurtis!!! |
MIKE
|
I don't think we'll be seeing Mike leave the game unless people don't really have any other option, or they want to weaken Kurtis but can't touch him directly for some reason. He needs to step out and start making moves that he can clearly own as his own if he wants to stand a chance at winning this game. I think he's blinded a bit by loyalty and the face-value deception. Kurtis is a dangerous player but shows him such loyalty that he gives it back; Dustin isn't as much of a threat and has little power right now but he's done some stuff that's anti-Mike and anti-Vecher, so Mike has him locked in the crosshairs. |
