I'm going to post some thoughts when I get some more graphics done but this is my official pre-season apology to both Adrianne and Andrew for having to deal with each other.. again.. needed both you this season, didn't cast you for your rivalry I promise!!
Sorry I'm late to predictions but a bitch finally has internet so I'll catch up my thoughts on the released cast so far! I wanna quickly say I'm super pumped for this season and I want to thank Sam for the opportunity to be a part of the production team!! Three years ago today was the start of my Skype ORG journey and I can't wait to see other people starting theirs!
Anders
I'm super excited about him being a part of this cast. Before being on production and watching through everyone's interviews the only live game I'd watched was Survivor: Kanata (shoutout to Kakuno) but I decided to give Maryland a try and I'm glad I did! What I'm excited to see from Anders is how he'll translate his skills in live games from a host perspective into playing the game online. I'm not sure I see him winning but I think he has the potential to go far!
Tony
Tony is a bit of a wild card to me in terms of how I feel about him. I think my biggest draw to him is that I think he has the potential to surprise people in this game and do really well! I'm a big fan of taking a chance on these kind of unpredictable players because the only reason I am here is because people took a chance on me. From his interviews I don't think I identify him as someone I see winning but I'll be rooting for him to surprise me.
Sarena
I absolutely loved her interview and I'm excited to see what she brings to this game! I'm not a big fan of the connection between her and Alex but that's unavoidable, and I'm hoping that it won't be an issue with the nature of the twist. My only fear is that depending on whether people are wise to this connection, the two of them making merge together could be to their detriment. Sarena is someone I think preseason is a strong contender to win the season!
Alex
Alex didn't stand out too much to me in the interviews but I'm hoping he'll surprise me when the game actually starts and become one of my absolute favs. I think my hesitation is just with the Sarena connection mainly. I do think Alex will be a strategist in this game and I'm hoping he'll bring his A game and give a giant middle finger to my pre-game thoughts! I either see him making it very far or going pre-merge, but I think if he makes it far he's a contender to win.
Harrison
I'm a big fan of Harrison coming into this! I think if he plays the game the way he plans he'll be very entertaining to watch. Also it's about time we started seeing more people from live games that aren't Survivor Maryland for a change! I was trying to find his season online but couldn't so sad face but I think he'll be a good watch this season! I don't think he stands out as a contender to win based on pre-game thoughts but I think I could see him rocking the pre-merge and then having the merge be his kryptonite.
Dustin
He and Daniel are couple of the year! I've been watching the BBBasics episodes that have been coming out because of him being in there ( and of course bc Shelby is in them and she's amazing but that's beside the point) because I wanted to get a better grasp of his gameplay, and he hasn't disappointed me! I think if he carries over the same energy as much as he possibly can into the Endure format he'll be a very well-rounded and rootable character this season. I could see him as a contender to win this game! If he leaves before the merge I'll genuinely be shocked.
Jayden
Jayden didn't stand out to me compared to others in the cast when I was watching his interview but I am a huge sucker for an aussie accent so honestly he could spend the entire game telling a story about the time he watched paint dry and I won't mind. He's a wild card again because I didn't get the best read on him, but I also think he could have a feisty side to his gameplay that will be entertaining to watch! I don't see him winning the game but as always I'd love for him to prove me wrong.
Kurtis
We're finally at someone who I knew somewhat well before this! I had the pleasure of hosting Kurtis in Powerhouse: Budapest back in 2016 where he won, and he absolutely deserved it! He's entertaining and so smart with these games it's actually a little scary, like I think if he applied for the real Survivor he could absolutely kill it. I think his kryptonite would be whether other people are familiar with him or not, but with so many people new to the ORG community cast I think this won't be a big issue. I absolutely think Kurtis could pull out a win and I look forward to hosting him again.
Daniel
I think Daniel will be someone that could really be overlooked this season by other players! I think he gives off a vibe of not being super threatening that could lull people into not worrying about him, but then I think he could go far in this game! He kinda reminds me of RJ which does send me into a PTSD spiral from my own Endure days but if he's anything like RJ he'll be a great addition to the cast! I will say based on pre-game that he is not one of my contenders to win the game but I think he'll make the jury phase at least.
Billy
He's already winning major points for that memory wall photo so he's off to a great start! I have absolutely no clue how he's gonna play and I really think it'll depend on how much he ends up enjoying the ORG experience. If he doesn't really end up enjoying it he'll probably go early, but if he gets super into it he could make it deep into the game. Because (to the best of my knowledge) he has like almost no experience playing the game I won't include him as a pre-game contender to win against people who have a bit more experience but he could surprise me.
Andrew
People do not seem to like him! I personally don't have strong feelings about him either way so from an objective standpoint I think he'll definitely be a character of the season. I would not be surprised to see him as an early boot and I do not see him winning this game (especially if he meets up with Adrianne at merge, that'll be messy) but he's got dedication and passion for the game that I think could really add to the season.
Adrianne
Her interview was extremely entertaining so I'm absolutely thrilled she's playing this game. I think she could do really well in this game, but my one concern is that if she and Andrew both make it to the merge, she will end up damaging her game as a result of her dislike for him. She might gun for him when it doesn't make sense for her game to get him out, and that right there could end up being the difference between whether she wins the game or her game crumbles down. Otherwise I think she absolutely has what it takes to make it to the end, and I'll list her as a pre-game contender to win the game.
There's still so many people left to be revealed (including the person I'm most excited about!) But yeah here's my thoughts so far thanks for coming to my TED Talk
I forgot how easy it is to fall behind in these write-ups (PLUS I'M FUCKING REWRITING THIS BECAUSE I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED IT ALL)
Sarena
I absolutely love her from the start because she seems very fun to get along with (plus she's from Chicago, so DOPE!). She seems like she is really easy to get along with and I love when she said she loves working with the cocky men. I really want to see her just do something like cut the fuck out of gibson to start the game, because I think that'd be fun. I think she has a shot to go towards the end, plus she reminds me a little bit of Molly?
Prediction - Top 6
Alex
First impression, he seems like a very easy and likable Midwestern person, but during the interview, I found myself drifting off and just not being engaged with him. I hope that doesn't translate to his gameplay, because I think he could have a chance to do very well. But I think that he will need to get in with people right away or have a flashier personality maybe? I don't know, I hope I'm wrong!
Prediction - Pre-Jury
Harrison
First off, Harrison is adorable and I really like him from the start! I love that he says people can perceive him as adorable, because sometimes in these games, you just find an adorable human and want to protect them at all costs. I hope he can have a good activity level transitioning into the ORG world for the first time, because he'll either have a good amount of activity, or be overly active and overplay from the start. With him getting 4th in a live game, I think he'll have a good shot of integrating in well.
Prediction - Early Jury
Dustin
If he's good enough for Daniel Kennedy, he's good enough for me! I think that Dustin will do very well in this game! He's played some games, he's been around the online world for a long time and he has very good self-awareness about himself. With him knowing that he might need to draw back some and not over talk, I think that's something that a smart player knows that they need to do so they can get integrated in the game. I hope he does well, because he must beat Daniel!!!! (you can deal with the rooting against, these heauxs did the same shit with Genaveve and I!)
Prediction - Early Jury
Jayden
I do like Jayden from the start, I think he's very smart and game savvy since he's a superfan who has never had the chance to play before. My main concern for him (as always is with aussies) is the time difference and him being able to make that dedication to being an active player. I think if he can do that, he'll do well. Seems cool and chill enough that he can just lay back and let the game play it's course. I do think he'll be out early
Prediction - Late Pre-Jury
Kurtis
Not only have I hosted Kurtis twice, but I've played with him twice! Let me tell you, Kurtis is a great player and in a cast with people who aren't really going to know him, he's going to do REALLY well. He has great strategy and is so personable and likable, he knows the right times to make a joke or chime in with a punchline. Other than that, Kurtis can always find his way into a good alliance, and it really takes a lot for Kurtis to get flustered. I think he will do well the pre-merge than have a huge target when he inevitably makes the merge.
Prediction - Mid Jury
Daniel (Kilby)
I am probably going to be a little biased in his pre-game write-up just because I birthed him into this style of ORG community and we've gotten close and I love him. That being said, Kilby is a really good player, he has good strategy, he knows how to be pretty chill, but there are times that he does overthink his strategy a little bit. I think he'll fit in well here with a lot of people that aren't known with the diverse style of casting. He will be scouring for idols from the start and as long as his paranoia doesn't get to him he will have a shot to go very far in the game. He had a really good shot at making the end in his first game until he got double idoled out by two endure alums (shoutout to Bryce and Dustin)!
Prediction - Top 6
Billy
Billy Wray, already an iconic name, now we need her to slay the faves!!! Billy came off super chill, relatable, easy-going in his interview, I hope the fact that he lives with a host (idk who she's gross) makes him want to go harder in the game. Sometimes you get those raw newbies who are super new to the ORG community and they just deliver so well! I want that for Billy, I hope he does well, but I'm hesitant to say he'll go very far.
Prediction - Pre-Merge
Gibson
I'm not the biggest Gibson fan in the world, our personalities really just don't mesh well, but in a cast of people who aren't really known in the ORG world, I see him doing well. He's not terrible at the game, but I envision him taking control from the start, then being turned on before the merge as the big alpha male threat that has to get out. I hope he brings a lot to the season as a character!
Prediction - Pre-Merge
Adrianne
I haven't had the pleasure of meeting her, but I've heard a hell of a lot about her. I'm excited that she's getting a chance to play Endure (and hopefully surpass Blake) because she seems like an absolutely phenomenal character. Not much more that can be said about her besides the fact that she is iconic. I think she'll get targeted at the merge because she's a big personality.
Prediction - Mid-Jury
Utren: Tony - Sarena - Harrison - Jayden - Kilby - Gibson
I see Sarena/Kilby clicking pretty well, maybe with Jayden/Harrison. I'd see Gibson on the outs early right now, but there's obviously a few more reveals to go.
Vecher: Anders - Alex - Dustin - Kurtis - Billy - Adrianne
I think Kurtis/Billy will click, and I think either Anders/Dustin click or can't stand each other, maybe the latter (Daniel help?)
Adrianne will find her footing well, Alex might be in trouble.
Oh I love Billy. Here comes our villain! If he thinks playing like Johnny fairplay is awesome, straight up laughs about not keeping secrets, wants to break rules, and has a background in improv, I'm HERE for the ride. As he says he comes off very friendly and loyal, I just can't wait for the moment people figure out what's really going on.
Adrianne? don't know her, she seems cool though. Really kidding I loove Adrianne and I'm ready for her to take all these boys down. I really hope she changes up her game this time around and maybe tries something more utr? Idk if its possible when you have such a golden personality, maybe then I hope she surrounds herself with as many crazies as possible. She makes jury regardless.
Andrew Gibson.... I watched his interview and that was enough for me. No further comments.
Little known to him, I have a one sided feud with Kilby as a joke and plan to continue rooting against him ironically. No hate future kilby, as I legitamently do not know you. To be fair you gave me a lot of content in that interview to back up my claims (I have no favorite word because I try to use many??)
I'm going to post some thoughts when I get some more graphics done but this is my official pre-season apology to both Adrianne and Andrew for having to deal with each other.. again.. needed both you this season, didn't cast you for your rivalry I promise!!
