Kilby ust made a really human confessional about Jayden that I really really enjoyed. It was refreshing not to see him in a spastic and crazed demeanor. I think if he can actually take a long pause and realize that the connections he will make in this game are actually really important the it all, he could easily go a lot further than what he's currently on track for.

Everyone looks so happy...meanwhile Kilby is sitting there thinking how he's going to juggle his 26 other alliance chats.

As a staunch supporter of Vecher, I'm so glad they won immunity this round. Sad that Julia may leave due to inactivity, but at the same time I'm glad that it really just evens things out...and leaves the people in at f17 that truly want to be here and want to play.

Adrianne/Kurtis/Rob are the 3 I still have my eyes on as playing super super well and having long-term potential in this game...but like, I don't think a single active person on Vecher is playing bad at all. The people towards the bottom of the tribe hierarchy seem to just be the less social ones--or the people who haven't built immediate bonds. And even with that, there's still time to make those connections, especially if Vecher wins a few rounds in a row.

***

With Utren, I fear that Tony leaving this round could cause Jacob/Gibby/Sarena to be in a lot of trouble in the coming rounds. All three of those people I like and I think bring something very interesting to the game on a strategic level. Though seeing any one of those 3 people on the wrong side of the vote--like ever--could lead to some phenomenal drama.

Joey seems to be playing a similar role as Adrianne on Vecher. Being pulled in different directions and sorta just agreeing to anyone that throws an alliance out to him, taking in as much information as possible as well. I like that Joey (and Adrianne for that matter) is being patient with these alliances and is trying to figure out who he can truly trust and work with. Not to mention his reads and ability to pick up on who's close with who is impeccable.

As Sam mentioned, Kilby's confessional about Jayden was really great stuff. Jayden seems extremely calm and I kinda hope for Kilby's sake that Jayden's calmer temperament can rub off on him. Or Jayden--if he truly wants to work closely with Kilby--needs to find a way to make Kilby slow his roll. They honestly could be such a solid duo if they (Kilby mostly) clean up their act.

***

One final observation--I'm kind of over people being so self-doubting in confessionals about their position in the game. I feel like every other confessional I watch involves someone talking about the game, but following it up with a comment or two about how they'll probably just get blindsided and go home.

Have confidence in yourself and the game you're playing!!!
I get the anxiety and pressure, but I think people hedge what they're saying in confessionals so they don't look totally foolish the moment they do get blindsided..like they can look back and say "see, I told myself this would probably happen."

Ok, stupid little rant over.

i’ve found that i feel worse if i’m cocky and confident in confessionals and then get tragically blindsided than if I freak out 24/7 in confessionals and get paranoid over nothing

setting your standards LOW

Nick if you had felt a little more anxious and played out the f3 challenge, you would have won last season

I'm watching confessionals so expect maybe a few posts out of me as I stream of consciousness.

Adrianne brought it up tonight, and she says it's early, but I don't think it is.

Obviously, there's no swap this season, it would ruin the theme and the twist, so these people are going to be with each other for a long ass time.

I REALLY love the no swap dynamic and I feel like we never see it in orgs. I may be biased but I still think Solomon Islands is one of the best ORG seasons to ever occur and the lack of a swap made all the dynamics come merge so much better.

This cast is all really strong strategically, so I think it'll be interesting to see how that dynamic ultimately play out. But it definitely is something to think about this early if they catch on. How much do we want to win? How much do we want to lose? Who is going to go into a merge with us and be strong?

I love this and having no swap because people have so much pent up energy by the time you reach the merge especially if you have a tribe that has won a lot. This could allow some of the strong players to hold strong and make merge and just go crazy

I know the episode is over now technically but I'm watching Alex's confessional and

1) for someone who has absolutely no involvement in the storylines of the game, if you watched Alex's confessional you'd think he was an active member of this tribe's story
2) I cannot fucking believe that in EVERY game Adrianne plays, people assume she's not a strategic player. Alex talks about how "Adrianne probably doesn't have a lot of strategic thoughts going on this early" when that's all she's been thinking about. I don't know how you achieve that level of being underestimated but I'm jealous
